Hows the gorgeous Alfie doing barley ? He's doing ok thank you Still really tired but I think that's largely the painkillers. He went for a little walk this evening (just 5 mins down the road & back) but he definitely enjoyed being out and about The swelling is beginning to go down a little although the bruising is coming out more. He doesn't seem uncomfortable with it though and that's the main thing xx

How did I manage to miss all this? How careless of me!!! Main thing though is that your gorgeous wee man is home and recuperating well One of my 16 year old foster cats, Misty, had to have an eye removed in 2011 and never had any further problems until she passed away a few months later of a completely unrelated condition (cancer on her trachea). She developed a corneal sequestrum which led to her eye being removed. The vet surgery kept her in overnight but once she came home 24hrs after the op she soon regained her place as the Boss of the household and had Thom-Thom, Lily and Nina back in their rightful place below her Her face was quite swollen and shaved over that eye but it soon grew back (the fur), the swelling went down and the eye healed up no problem. In fact, one of her favourite 'tricks' was to sidle up to Neil who would be watching tv and rub her head against him to make him stroke her. He'd be absent-mindedly rubbing away at what he thought was her chin or cheek but when he looked down he'd realise it was actually her empty eye socket Misty would do it deliberately - it was almost as if she KNEW it made Neil gag How is our brave wee boy today?

No I didn't barley - but my friend bought him a stuffed toy duck on Tuesday so he ended up with a new toy in the end anyway He's definitely enjoying all the food thanks, there's enough to last him for months Also, after all my efforts not to buy him new collars etc that he doesn't need... I bought him a new collar and harness at TK Maxx yesterday, oops
