Good news barley that Alfie is on his way home. It'll be interesting to hear how Alfie reacts to seeing his home again, although do the drops you said he'll be having alter his eyesight (only thought about it as I had an eye test yesterday with drops - not fun for a few hours afterwards - but I suspect they are different drops)

He's home and he can see! My sister & I went to collect him. The nurse brought him into the room and told us not to say a word, Alfie looked at me and then at Jade, paused for a few seconds and then when CRAZY!! Not a dry eye in the room, that was for sure! I was expecting him to look a bit butchered but he's looking good It's amazing to see his eyes, when you look into them they're totally clear, it's weird after years of seeing that horrible white frosting!

Really glad he's back home, and I had a tear in my eye when I read that he recognise both you and your sister. Will he need to go back for check ups?

Really glad he's back home, and I had a tear in my eye when I read that he recognise both you and your sister. Will he need to go back for check ups? Aw you softie Yep, lots of check-ups. First one is next Tuesday, then one the following week, then again three weeks after that. If all is well, he is next seen in three months time. After that, 1-2 yearly for the rest of his life. Gobsmacked at the AHT lol... got Alfie and was waiting at reception to pay the bill. Receptionist, all causal, goes ''oh don't worry, we'll pop the invoice in the post and you can give us a call''... I was like whaaaaat lol.
