Thanks. Pretty gutted as so don't want him to have another GA so soon. He took a good 72 hours to get over the last one the other week, and still quieter and had a funny tum for another week or so after. Really seemed to knock him for six.
But on the other hand, I will worry something stupid if it's not removed, so needs must I guess.

Have you told the vet about his slow recovery? They might be able to use a different drug!

Is it out of the question to wait a month ? Just keep eye on it ? Beau doesn't cope well either when he had a GA to test for the cruciate rupture it took him several days to recover then when he had his op it was exactly the same, throwng up for several days, so guessed it was the GA . Hope all goes well what ever you decide x

Have you told the vet about his slow recovery? They might be able to use a different drug! I didn't think to tell them, I will do tomorrow when I take him in. Is it out of the question to wait a month ? Just keep eye on it ? Beau doesn't cope well either when he had a GA to test for the cruciate rupture it took him several days to recover then when he had his op it was exactly the same, throwng up for several days, so guessed it was the GA . Hope all goes well what ever you decide x The thing is, what if it's another cancerous lump? The testing couldn't tell for sure. The vet said any other dog, he would say wait a couple of months and see, but because Alfie has just had this cancerous one removed, it's best to get this one off too just incase. Hopefully it really is just a cyst, but we can't tell for sure. Really tricky situation How is Alfie at the moment barley ? He's doing fine, thank you. Blissfully unaware! Hope Alfie is doing okay. He's absolutely fine thanks. Honestly, you wouldn't know any thing was up at all. He's totally normal. His biggest worry will be skipping breakfast in the morning, he has to go in starved in case he does stay in to have it removed.
