Heard from the rescue just now. The 2 have been reserved, subject to home check, but their visitors today. Si=o they are marked reserved on the website. I was advised to keep an eye on the website, if they are successful then the 2cats will be removed from the page & if doesn't work out then they'll be shown as available again. I've asked that if the home check doesn't work out could they take positive action & let me know so that I don't miss out.
Just checked the website & they are still showing available but I think that's just need the site being updated. I thiml I got phoned straight away.

Are they always slow on updating the site? I've noticed that too cazypops, but haven't really paid any attention how frequently they update the pages. They rang me late Sunday afternoon so probably after the admin staff had gone & they were very busy Saturday with people visiting animals so there may well be all sorts of paperwork to be done & web pages to be updated. |

There are other cats that appeal but for various reasons I've discounted Woody www.freshfields.org.uk/animals/woody-2/ a definite gamble with Osiris & Lexie I am definitely qualified to look after Bella www.freshfields.org.uk/animals/woody-2/ but don't think I can face that so soon after Roman & also there are too many black cats (owned & visiting (walkabout or stray) & Osiris would not be happy as a result. Princess & Stacey are lovely www.freshfields.org.uk/animals/princessstacey/ but need a quiet home with no other animals Molly & Stacey www.freshfields.org.uk/animals/molly/ and www.freshfields.org.uk/animals/pandora/ remind me of Lexie & Penny. I'd love to give them a home & feel dreadful for the reason I'm not asking to see them but having recently lost Roman (at 18) & have Osiris (who will be 17 in April) I don't think I can face taking on a 17 & a 19 year old at the moment. I also think Osiris wouldn't be impressed with 2 more females & Lexie would probably be too much of a nuisance to them. There are others but I don't want a cat younger than 2 or who have to stay indoors (FIV or other health issues). Any younger than 2 & I think there would be trouble & although I had to keep Roman in for his last 2 years it was a strain whilst letting the other 2 out. Luckily Roman was very good about his limited access to the house during the day or if I was out. |

That's something that worries me also I can't think of anyone that I could expect to care for Moonbeam as we do I don't think ther eis a cat protection here I know there is a lot of places for dogs but not cats I'm glad u an rest easy k owing he will be ared for

As they were still showing available today I rang the rescue & apparently they are reserved pending home check on their internal board but they don't go to reserved on the website until after the home check but before they leave the rescue. Confusing! However they do have me in mind if that falls through.

Confusing! However they do have me in mind if that falls through. That really is confusing, especially as they asked you to keep an eye on the web site. Surely it would be easier if they went straight to reserved and if the home visit doesn't work out then put them back to available.  |
