All together now......" Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Nutmeg, happy birthday to you".
I 'm so happy to share with you all that our Nutmeg is celebrating her FOURTEENTH birthday today. She ll be sleeping away most of the day but having a little pootle round the local park at lunchtime and enjoying some tuna on her normal dinner this evening. ( and we may sneak in a few treats throughout the day🤭)
We ve decided that we will not treat any further illnesses that may come along and will keep her comfortable with the present medication BUT for today at least we are forgetting all her problems and concentrating on the happy, waggy tailed, bright, alert, loving, cuddly , beautiful little spaniel that has shared our lives for such a long time.
She would like to thank all the millions of people who have put up bunting, balloons and flags to help her celebrate this day although she has heard that there is something special happening in London tomorrow too and is happy to share the decorations with that occasion.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Squeak......you re a very special little dog.

She was a little fighter , and you did everything , tried everything to help her thru her health issues. You did the kindest thing we can ever do for our best friends.

I never got around to it at the time but would like to say thank you to everyone for their kind wishes. It's hard to believe but my little mate has been gone two months already and we miss her so much, none moreso than poor Ash who has been absolutely distraught. She didn't want to go out for a walk, didn't want to play and wouldn't or couldn't settle at night. She s still not happy about walking but has just started to have the odd play session and we have had to resort to taking her upstairs at night ( which we ve never done with any of the dogs) . She sleeps literally at the side of my bed and , until very recently, had to check that I hadn't moved up to six times EVERY night.  |

It must be very difficult for the pet thats left , wondering where has their play mate gone. If only they could talk to us 😢💋

It takes a lot of getting used to when we lose one of our beloved pets. It's awful for their furry friend left behind because they don't understand what happened.

I can sympathise with you meandmine I had a similar problem with my late dogs 🥲and I know for a fact that if we were to lose Riley Elsa would be absolutely distraught 🥲she’s never been on her own she always looks up to Riley for security especially when she is feeling anxious. I think you have definitely done the right thing at night time and hopefully in time things will get easier for you all 🥰sending 🤗 |
