I never go on specific boards, I just use Recent Threads from the menu & can see all the threads that have been updated regardless of boards sorry for hi-jack Nutmeg's birthday thread meandmine. That's a great photo of the 2.

After the sadness of the last couple of weeks for Imogen losing Millie and then Toni losing Roman, I could not decide whether to update this post. Then I thought it may cheer people up a bit so here goes.....
Nutmeg continues to do really well and our vet is very pleased with her. She cost us a small fortune in prescriptions yesterday but, ridiculous though it sounds, we were more than happy to pay it because our vet gave her enough tablets to last THREE MONTHS. Four weeks ago we were told she could have as little as two days left and now here we are looking forward to a whole summer with her.
We are painfully aware that she could potentially leave us tomorrow but the vet is so pleased with the way her condition has responded to/ and is managed by the medication we are feeling far more positive.
She is sleeping lots, eating well, enjoying her outings in the dog stroller and joining her little sister for a gentle walk when she wants to. She takes the various tablets straight from our hand without any protest and bounces round when she sees her inhaler as she knows a treat is not far away. She's such a good girlie. 🥰

That really is good news meandmine, don't ever be afraid of upsetting anyone on the forum by posting good news at any time, you'll cheer someone up who is maybe having to deal with bad news. Nutmeg sounds just like Roman, tablets 1 in the morning & 2 in the evening straight from the hand along with the 2 treats even picking up dropped tablets! As to the liquid Thyronorm (again twice daily), as soon as he saw the syringe he was waiting for it & trying the extract as much of it from the syringe as he could sucking it dry or chewing it! In fact I occasionally had to stop him trying to get the insulin syringe if he'd finished the small amount of food I gave when I injected!

She s made it . Today is Nutmeg's THIRTEENTH " gotcha" day . After the past week involving a general anaesthetic, teeth out and a very scarey time we really doubted if she d make it but I am happy to announce that thirteen years ago today we brought home a little scrap weighing just 3.9k from the cavalier rescue in Lincolnshire. Sadly the effects of the anaesthetic have weakened her heart even more but she s still managing very short walks, pootling round the garden and eating for England. She s such a little fighter and we are very, very proud of her. Well done little squeaky dog.
