Thanks everyone yeah in 2 weeks time she will be 100% ready to leave foster care and go off to her new forever home. We have home visits set up to see who is more suitable for her. Will be sad to see her go but I know she will have a fantastic new chance at life. dutchkitties yes they were found and the mother cat was successfully trapped so they are now in the care of another rescue. They are getting on great and there has been a lot of interest to re-home them so hopefully once they are ready they will be off to start their lives with loving homes

Oh great news pixiepops, sad though that it's a never-ending cycle in rescue. By the way what happened to the Birmingham cat?

Apologies, that is who Mittens is that I mentioned in the above post lol She came into care already fully vaccinated up to date and was also spayed, so we flea and worm treated her and her chip is being done before she leaves our care

Probably my mistake pixiepops - oh that really is good news for both cat & the overloaded rescue - will you be letting the previous owner know she's found a home (I don't mean where)

tonib Yes we will be sending her a message and some photos of Mittens settling in once she is in her new home I do have some exciting news and thought you might want to see the new kittens!! A lady had reported a cat to us yesterday morning that was straying. We found the owners but they basically said they didnt want her and were not going to take responsibility for her. A neighbour of the lady who reported her to us, and who had also been feeding the wee girl, had fallen in love with her so she decided, once the owners stated they no longer wanted her, to take her in and give her a loving home. She was pregnant as well but we didnt think she was due so soon! Here is the wee girl and her babies. Hours old Sadly 3 of the 6 she has had have passed on after being born but we believe from the looks of things there is still one wee soul to be born so will let you know as soon as we hear any news.

Awww, gorgeous - 2 torties and a grey and white kitten by the looks of it - I love torties. Sad that some died but at least things are looking up for the others and their mum. I hope the unborn one is okay. Keep us updated.

What a lovely start to the day, the news that someone wanted the cat even though her previous owners no longer did, now could they not? I wonder if it was the fact she was pregnant & they would have to look after kittens was the issue Then the news that she has had 3 healthy kittens even though its sad that she lost the other 4. Is the new owner going to keep the kittens or are they going to have to have new homes once weaned? Probably early days for that decision. Lovely photos & I like the mix of colours in the kittens - some red (ginger) in the gene pool there - and tortie which is blue (grey) rather than black
