Also her going full time if it puts her life in danger it might also claim the life of her kittens anyway.

Also her going full time if it puts her life in danger it might also claim the life of her kittens anyway. That was one of the possibilities I looked at also. She is going tomorrow to be spayed. Just another reason that shows why people should be neutering/spaying their pets.

Good luck with Tia's spay - you are doing the best thing but I can understand how you are feeling as I would be exactly the same. No wonder Tia looks sad. She will soon improve after the operation and things will get much better for her.
Good luck with the Mum and kittens too - I hope they are rescued very soon.

Having her spayed is the only thing that makes sense. The poor kitty wouldn't survive another litter. Today is the day. Good luck.

That's Tia-Rose been spayed She got out today also as everything went well they felt she didnt need overnight observation. She was crying when left at the vets but once back in familiar surroundings she was fine. Shes had some food and been sleeping the rest of the time. Everything went well, shes looking quite content where she is so hopefully onwards and upwards from here for her

Update for everyone. Tia-Rose is recovering well from her spay and appears to be a lot happier since which is great She is going to be vaccinated in the coming week so she will have had everything done. Great news is we have had some interest in re-homing her. So I will need to speak to everyone who has applied to re-home her, get a bit of background information on them, their home, any pets they have already, etc. Get home visits arranged and see who I feel is best suited to her needs As for the mother cat and babies. Our volunteers have been going down to leave food daily. Sadly over the last 2-3 days the food has not been eaten so we believe that one of two things may have happened. She may have moved on due to the fuss being made in the area she was living with her babies. Although we were leaving food im wondering if the mother cat would still feel threatened enough to leave the area. Either that, or a rescue have managed to catch them that we are not aware of. Today I will be calling round all rescues in and around the area who may have been called to the area by members of the public. So hopefully we hear some good news that they have been caught.

Great news that Tia-Rose is improving after her spay and brilliant that people are interested in re-homing her. Fingers crossed that it's good news for the mum and kittens, poor things. I wish that we had someone as dedicated as you are to cat rescue in my town - our local Cats Protection League really let me down over a poor stray mum that keeps having kittens - they didn't even answer my last 3 emails.

I'm glad that Tia-Rose is doing well. It would be great if the mum and kitten could be found.

I have to admit my opinion of cats protection has gone down since I began this work back in 2013. They really need to get their branches in gear and working from the same sheet as there seems to be a lot of inconsistencies in each branch. I was given vile abuse by one volunteer in particular and reported it to their head office saying how I was disgusted with the behaviour. That was about 6/7 months ago...I am still waiting to hear back from them

Brilliant news mum and babies have been caught!! Another rescue had been made aware of them who have also been trying to catch them They had managed to get hold of them and have taken them into their care I am so relieved that they have been rescued. Fingers crossed they all get back to full health and can be re-homed.

The weather here has been very cold, we've had snow this month (although not a lot), which is one of the reasons why we were so desperate to get hold of them. The kittens are estimated as being around 5 weeks old
