Which Pancreatic Supplement is seen as the best one for raw fed dogs with pancreas issues? Currently Gypsy is having Lypex but TBH cost is making me bulk slightly, however if its deemed the best one to use then obviously will be continuing with it One of the vets (one who originally saw Gypsy when she was ill) has suggested I use it for 6 months and then re-do bloods, other vet (who I saw on last bloods test and did the prescribing)did not clarify length of time to use it for. Need to get her to vet for weigh in to see if they have made any impact on improving her weight, she has nearly been on it a month now. Been looking at VetUK on what is available www.vetuk.co.uk/dog-supplements-cat-supplements-pancreatic-supplements-c-5_9

Sorry to hear Gypsy still having problems, hope she'll get sorted. No idea about supplements, Jaws is doing well on a low fat diet.

Went and weighed her today, she is still losing weight even with the Lypex and the increased food to ~3% of her ideal weight (note Phoebe has also been uped to similar % so it is related to time of year and exercise level as well as current health issues). Feeling a bit stumped! Thought she was doing ok and was expecting to finding her holding weight or gaining a little in the last 3-4 weeks!

I would increase her food intake even more. Personally, I am not bothered about percentages but how my dog looks. So if feeding the very low fat diet such as the Country Hunter nuggets (4%), I'll give her more than say, NI Chicken Country Banquet, which is almost 7%. If she starts looking a bit rounder, I give her a bit less.
Does poor Gypsy look as if she could eat a bit more?

She would eat till she pops if I let her!
I think I will have to up what I am giving her and see how she goes.

Woohoo! Hopefully I'll be able to find them in one of the shops here. I'll definitely be trying them.

Oh no, that's a bit of a pain. I don't know if I could justify an online order!

Just emailed them as they deliver by own van and dont use the usual white polystyrene boxes so wondering what happens if I am out! Only have to order £29 for free delivery, however pets at home are cheaper per bag so easy to see how they are making their delivery money back!! Now missing the independent pet shop I used to have before having to move!
Also asked for the bone content of the new nuggets (just for interest).

Ooh, that's a bit odd. Although I'm guessing they'll pack stuff in quite tightly so it acts as it's own ice pack. £29 would get you a fair few bags though I would think?

I like the look of the new range and will certainly try it, mixed with food with lower fat content. I'm also pleased to see turkey in the range. Always puzzled me why they didn't do turkey complete before. How's Gypsy doing caz2golden?

Yes it is surprising about the turkey considering their main base is Norfolk!
She seems to be doing ok!
She is active, alert and loving her food and her 'presents' have been ok!
Should be weighing her again to see if the Lypex is stopping the weight loss, but that depends on if I can stop anywhere near vets when I am passing (tourist town so at the moment its a bit busy)and this week the days vets are probably open I am working (typical)! If I dont stabilize her weight by end of this packet of Lypex she will be going back to vets as I will want them to do more tests.
Still waiting on insurance company to pay out on claim (they needed more info from vets!).
What about Jaws?

Jaws is doing great. Naturesmenu really suits her so can't wait for the new range. Need to speak to my favourite pet shop!
