Ooooo for the first time ever I had to throw away a complete paint kit , I kept putting it to one side , to do others , several of the paints had dried out, but also , it was a photo of a photo and I didnt like how it was looking, I had painted the eyes and some of Tobi face. Then 2 paints I opened were dry so that did it for me.

I'm home alone tonight, hubby has gone fishing, and won't be home until tomorrow morning. I had all sorts of plans, while I have the house to myself. Hummm! Got home from work at 10am and took Jasper out for a 2 mile walk, then came home, put the washing out and had something to eat, then I was going to get started catching up with some jobs round the house. Well! what really happened was I shouldn't have sat down, coz I fell asleep and the afternoon just disappeared. All I ended up doing, was baking some muffins, and changing the bed. Oh well there's always tomorrow, before he gets home.

Feeling very migrainy today and hubby has got up with a bad chest and sore throat 😫 Typical! I've told him to take regular paracetamol today, but he says I've brought a bug home. 😷🤣

It was a fun day today, nothing serious but just a chapter of things not going according to plan! 1) Plumber had been yesterday to fit a part in the cistern of the en-suite toilet which to resolve an issue with it not quite stopping flushing. Was working fine when he left but when I used it in the evening & overnight it was intermittently having the same issue. So rang the plumber & he could come this afternoon sometime after 3pm. At least it was able to be manually stopped from within the cistern so no major issues with water usage. 2) Had placed an online order for my 3 meds over the weekend & the GP had approved them. When I checked with the chemist yesterday they'd had to order in 2 of them & they would be arriving today & my order should be ready 10ish so when had to wait for a car space at the vets I drove up the road to the chemist & the car park near there had a space but unfortunately they were still sorting the delivery, so my meds wouldn't be ready until 11:30! Of course I had run out of the one I'm supposed to take before/during/after breakfast! I'd dropped one tablet earlier in the week & when I found it no way was I taking that covered in fluff!! 3) Shady vet visit - see separate thread 3) Had some shopping to do this afternoon before 3:30 (closure time of a shop) but also had to be back for the plumber, so planned to go out via the chemist & then on to the shop I particularly wanted. Somehow lost track of time, although I did have some breakfast & at 1:30 left the house. Drove my route to the shop, only realising when I'd got in its direction that I had meant to go the other way 1st to pick up my meds, I'd even taken some water with me to take the tablet!!! My route was easy or at least it was until I got to one junction where the road I wanted was blocked by a police car. Found an alternative route which joined that road further north & got almost to that junction to find that everyone was turning round as the road I was meant to rejoin was also closed at that point still!! The next route option worked but by now the roads were getting narrower & more traffic was using it with wider vehicles than normal!! so had to give way quite a bit. Rejoined my original route at last, but next got to the level crossing, you've guessed it, I had to wait for a train to pass through! Got to the turning into the farm where the shop I was heading for was & had to wait whilst a couple of large lorries came out of the farm lane. But at least I got what I wanted from their bakery shop, in particular some English Lakes ice cream, Plum & Damson & Rhubarb & Ginger, along with some nice cakes & pies (no comments about diets!). The farm where the bakery is the home of Fiddler's Lancashire crisps, their Simply spuds (no salt) & Black Pudding & English Mustard are particularly delicious but I refrained this time from buying any! Drove home another route with only a cyclist on a windy bit to hold me up. If only I'd turned towards the chemist first I would have avoided all of the earlier accident etc issues 4) Picked up my medicines and got home about 3:10 hoping that the plumber hadn't been early, luckily he hadn't, came about 4 & replaced the push button on the cistern (he'd come with that just in case) and re-seated the cable in the cistern. Will have see how it goes. 5) Whilst typing this I looked at the route I finally took this afternoon & realised that when I had to go around a local golf course if I'd taken the turning at the end of the wall surrounding it which had a signpost for the golf club I would have cut quite a bit off my trip - I thought it was the road to the club only not a normal usage road!!!!! I think that's called rubbing salt into the wound

How have you & hubby been today, any improvement chantel ? I’m feeling a bit better today 🙏thank you tonib it’s mainly my head and my anxiety hasn’t been great lately. Hubby still not well , I had a Covid test left over so told him to do the test , but thankfully it was negative 🤒it’s mainly his chest and the sore throat. Told him to take regular paracetamol and just try and rest this weekend. I will be honest I think we both are just generally so run down and over tired with work , I have been stressed out with work and working 10 hrs to cover because people are off sick 🤧 and hubby has a real stressful job working for Yorkshire water 💦☹️ I think we both are just so over tired 🥱and will be thankful for the break. Thank you 🙏

Well good old Chantel needs to consider her health too , or she will be joining the others off sick . HUGS xxx

luckily he hadn't, came about 4 & replaced the push button on the cistern (he'd come with that just in case) and re-seated the cable in the cistern. Will have see how it goes. I had that problem 2 months ago , water constantly running into the toilet. I ordered a complete new innards , I knew it was not the flush plate. Luckily I was able to slide the whole 3 foot Granit top over onto the rest of the counter top via a towel. And I was turning the water off after ever flush.
Proceeded to remove the floater bit and descaled the whole part and the bits it joins to . Success the float was not going up enough to shut the water off, so I now have a complete new set , unused in storage for the next time . Things get discontinued dont they so ....
Hope yours is ok now tonib ?

Yes you are right scallywag , well when we get a new starter I’m hoping things will be better. The temp manager was interviewing Thursday and said there was 2 that she thought would be ok . I will be making it very clear when I go back to work that I won’t be doing any more overtime, someone else will have to pick the hours up because I’m getting too tired doing all the covering and it’s making me poorly.and I’m not able to enjoy my time off.😴
