He seems ok today- i ‘v just been to get him some more wet food because he can’t have any dry at the moment. It’s coming to something when the normally expensive food is cheaper than his normal felix 🙈

Poor Freddy, I'm glad to see he's feeling better today.
I can't believe how much your vet charges for Loxicom. I get a 10ml bottle nearly every 6 month, along with his Catrophen injection, and if I remember right it cost me about £25 and £15 of that is for the injection. It's been that price for the last 10 years too.
Sorry your still feeling under the weather though. I hope the sample you took in today and the bloods tomorrow can help with better antibiotic for you.

To be honest cazypops I’m not impressed with the care Freddy has received this time around . I think the price of the the dental was so expensive- I found the report from his dental last year - he had a canine tooth extracted and a scale and polish and it was £290 and that included the after care .( although he had an X-ray to check on any cavities and a blood test was required because of his age and extra fluids because of his age) We didn’t even get a telephone call from them the next day to check he was ok . We was supplied with a 5 ml bottle for £34.00. and when I questioned being charged again for another bottle when he went for his check up - the nurse said “ the bottle should have lasted 2 weeks but on the dosage they prescribed it lasted 6 days 🙈 I have discussed with hubby when Freddy is all sorted changing vets - the prices have doubled in price - I know of another vets that are not too far away and I have spoken to a few people that have said they are really good and much cheaper. Although Hubby doesn’t want to re- register Riley because of his anxiety issues and he does seem happy going there and he knows everyone but Freddy and the Guinea pigs I’m going to re -register.😢 Freddy seems to be doing ok now other than being very clingy with me 🐱

I agree chantel, I don't think your vets have treated you very well at all. I can understand you staying at the vet with Riley. Good luck with the new vet for Freddy and the guinea pigs. Glad that Freddy is slowly improving, it will take him a long time to feel settled again. Kiba-Khan took ages after his dental and extractions.

Well freddy’s insurance policy renewal has come omg 😳 it’s increased to £16.13 ( annual £193.56 ) (it’s gone up £65..64) I pay £10.66 at the moment that is a big jump 🙈 I’v been doing research today and decided to go with Argos - life time cover £1.000 £11.10 a month £133.2p (annual) also covers dentals as long as he has 6 monthly check ups .

Strange that I have the same policy for Kali, Blackberry and Willow that you have for Freddy and my renewal monthly payment is £18+ each and yours is £16+. Glad you have found a cheaper one for Freddy.

lotsofcats, do you think it may have something to do with their ages?

lotsofcats, do you think it may have something to do with their ages? Kali is nearly 13 and her girls are just 12. I've only claimed once for Blackberry when she was 12 weeks old.Yes, that's it, Freddy is 8.

Yes I think it’s definitely age - I think Freddy’s will increase even more as he gets older🐱 As a matter of interest, I'm going to get a quote from Argos to see what they come up with for my cats. I'll let you know.

They won't even give me a quote as my cats are over 10 years old! You'll have to remember not to change Freddy's as other companies won't quote on over 10 year olds either.
