Freddy is struggling with the heat too - he’s just gone upstairs and thrown himself on the bedroom floor.
It doesn’t help that he keeps sunbathing in the bedroom window 😹
He goes in for his dental Tuesday morning I’m sure he knows something because he keeps trying to come and sit on my knee 😹

Jasper does the same thing, he get on the chest of draws in the back bedroom to sunbath. It worries me a little that he does it while we are at work, so I try and keep all the curtains and blinds shut till I come home.

Boomsey first thing in the morning into the sunroom er removed two drawers from under a small coffee table inf when it's mad warm he has shade there ee have closed the floors into the sunroom but he just sleeps at tge doors until we open them he seems to love the warm mum in law had a beautiful cat that used to sleep under the stove she would come out smoking wobble over for a drink of water sit for a few min and back in under again madness

After Bramble had a seizure a couple of weeks ago, she still tries to sit in the glaring sun. I have to peg a cat blanket on the outside of the pen to shield her from the sun. Only thing is we have to keep an eye on her and she moves to a different part on the shelf so we have to reposition the blanket. We also put a tarpaulin sheet over the Perspex roof to put that part of the pen in shade.  , on Flickr |

Well dropped Freddy off this morning and was given a quote by the vet £580 for the dental and that without extraction.
X-ray - £75.00.
Blood test and extra fluids because he is older £85.00.
The x-ray will tell us if he needs any extractions .
He had a dental last year and the fee was £230.00 i’v just found the receipt.
Hubby thinks it is very expensive although he’s never had a blood test so I did think it was a good idea just ensure he is healthy.
They will be ringing me at 2pm to let me know everything is ok or early if anything shows on the blood test.

Have you heard from the vets yet?
When Kiba-Khan had his dental in September last year the bill was £545. That included quite a few extractions and also his fur was shaved. He also came from the vets with painkillers, antibiotics and anti-sickness tablets.

He’s home but very groggy 😴he has had one extraction with stitches and is dosed up with morphine. They have given me loxicom for pain relief. The bloods were all good £620.00 to be honest I thought it would be going on for £700 with the quote they gave me this morning. So it does sound about right if you paid that @loysofcats it’s just gone up 🙈I know I paid around £290 last year but he didn’t have an x-ray / blood test . He goes back next Tuesday.  |
