Moonbeam could spend a hour straightening the straight edge of a box from once the first but is removed its a big job to fix that edge and it never goes to plan 🤔

Well I managed to get Freddy some food yesterday - I got him purfect fit senior 7+ wet food . I had a look at petsathome but there wasn’t really any dry kibble , the problem I have is that he just swallows the kibble straight down and then it swells up in his stomach then he sicks it straight back up . Go-cat is the only kibble he actually crunches . So I decided to get the perfect fit and then he can still have a few biscuits in a morning which he needs for his teeth.
I’m going to be honest I’m not overly concerned with Freddy’s weight because he has been bigger than what he is at the moment. And he doesn’t particularly look like he has really put on that much weight to me but I will keep my eye on him.

The Purfect Fit Senior should help Freddy chantel. I expect Bitiba or Zooplus would sell the equivalent in dried food. They are both quite reasonable to buy from and have really good offers at times.

chantel, When Penny had to lose weight we put her on Hills Prescription Diet R/D she did not enjoy the wet it was a pate style food but the dry was fine. They then brought out the Prescription Diet Metabolic which worked better both wet & dried for her. she had to come down from 5Kg (+) to 4Kg. When Roman did his cruciate ligament in 2016 we got a shock to find he was 6.1Kg & his normal weight was 5.6Kg max but with him we just reduced his food intake especially as he was inactive for the first weeks of his recovery from the op. (Oddly I was looking at the thread on his cruciate last night, when I was searching for the thread on Roman going missing for a day, after reading about Bella, but that must have been on the old forum as I couldn't find any mention). I noted that after 2 weeks from the op Roman had lost 0.2Kg but that I wondered how much the fur that had been shaved away weighed!!!!) Ironic that in 2020-22 I landed up having to feed him 7 pouches of cat food a day to keep his weight over 4.7Kg!!!! Looking at photos of Freddy I can't believe he's that big a cat, I suppose I've based my image of him from that young photo that scallywag has just used for her painting!

tonib this is a very recent photo of Freddy, I’m not saying he couldn’t do with loosing a few pounds but the more I look at him I don’t actually think he is that fat, like I say he has been much bigger than he is at the moment. It is a new vets that I recently registered him with and it is only the 2nd visit. I have reduced his food so he only has breakfast and tea , he only ever had just a few biscuits at lunch but I have now cut them out . His allowance he has at tea time I split so he has a little at supper time , because Freddy is greedy I have never been able to leave food down so he can graze throughout the day because he would just scoff it all down. We will see how things go but he goes in the cattery on Monday and I don’t want to completely cut him down and upset him too much because he will already be stressed out a little ,but I will be concentrating on his diet properly after the holiday.
