Good luck with hand rearing the kittens if a surrogate mum can't be found for them. I hope they will be okay. Would Poppy accept them if she had her kittens now - or is it too much of a risk to try? the kittens and the mum are gorgeous.
Kitten season has kicked in with a vengeance!

Mary was also 18 months old and had 2 litters by the time I adopted her..it's such a shame that Poppy was in that situation and being passed to anyone...so glad she is safe with you now and also Shelby.. I hope they can all find loving homes.....

It is going to be a lot of hard work. But it will be worth it all. Poppy was at the vets yesterday, everything is going well, vet thinks she has 1 week to go of her pregnancy so we will see how many kittens she has and then see if she will accept these 4 little jellybeans. Although I think she is going to have around 4 or 5 of her own going by her size. We have also now got another wee girl in care. I think she is a Birman but she doesnt have the white feet so thought possibly a Ragdoll. She has the most striking blue eyes though. Only around 6 months old, very thin and malnourished to the point you can feel her bones

Oh my, well fingers crossed with the surrogate mum and jelly beans.
Ooooo the ragdoll , shes a lovely looking cat, what's her name ? how can people just stop caring for their cats at such a young age too.

We have named her Sapphire (obviously due to how blue her eyes are - they are very striking) It turns out she is a chocolate point Ragdoll. She is older than we originally thought (vet estimates around 1 and a half years-2years) but is very small for her age. She has very bad earmites, really bad gums which the vet put down to her diet. She is un-spayed and has had a litter recently from what the vet could tell She is also badly malnourished and needs to be fattened up a bit. She is super scared of people but we know there is a byb near where she was found so we are wondering if she has managed to somehow escape from there. Good news is that other than that she is healthy, nothing else wrong and will with the vets help, recover well and become a gorgeous wee soul who can be re-homed to someone who will love her. I am tempted to keep her as she is gorgeous, but I cant have anymore kitties sadly. We got her her first vaccination done today aswell.

she's a lovely looking cat it's a real shame she's got in that condition, wonder if it due to having escaped & not managed to forage properly or just due to lack of care which the fear of humans does seem to point to - the byb does sound an option for where she's from. What would you do if they claimed her back?

What a beautiful girl she is. If it wasn't for having Jasper, Flirty and Bandit I'd have her in a shot. I'm sure your won't have any trouble finding her a loving forever home. I remember what our Bandit was like when she first started to come into my house. She lived at the house two doors up, but was almost feral. How can people take on an animal then not care for it, makes me really mad.

Poppy is looking good - I think she'll have 4 kittens. Sapphire is beautiful - no wonder you are tempted - can't you squeeze in one more?! It's sad that owners let a cat get in that state. She shouldn't have been outside, Ragdolls are not able to look after themselves outside and should only be indoor cats.

tonib I doubt they would try and claim her back and if they did I would rather go to jail than hand her back to someone like that. lotsofcats I really cant wouldnt be able to afford to keep another cat.

Best of luck with everything. Your rag doll will soon rally with some decent regular food in her .
