Not great , I ended up on the sofa a 3am with her ☹️
Trying her upstairs tonight and getting a baby gate for the kitchen door to try and get her used it for short periods through the daytime, she’s not going to beat us lol 😊x

Elsa must be missing her siblings. Have you tried a soft toy and leaving the radio on low or even wrapping a clock in a blanket so that she can hear it ticking. It always takes a while to get new pets to adjust and for the present ones to get used to the newcomer. Another week or so and you will be wondering why you were worried.

As for trying her upstairs I am afraid Beau sleeps upstairs too, like you I ended up downstairs with him, but worked well for all concerned for him to be upstairs on the landing, everyone was happy then . Good luck x you do what you need to do for your family, no one will be judging you , not on our lovely little forum x cant speak for other forums , I been on some very opinionated forums in the past - STUFF EM IS WHAT I SAY  Ha ha bet your all thinking ... Another week or so and you will be wondering why you were worried. thanks for your advice I tried the radio last night but she was worse last night than the first night ☹️She had no intention on stopping screaming and we left her for a quite a while but she was starting to get stressed, hubby did try to come down a couple of times after that to reassure her but she was having non of it so I decided around 3am to sleep in the room with her just so hubby could get at least a couple of hours sleep before getting up for work, Riley was also stressed and I was worried about neighbours and I was extremely stressed out by this time. So going to try her upstairs tonight . Putting a baby gate on kitchen and then i’m going to gradually keep popping her in the kitchen for short periods but keep walking up and down past the kitchen so she can see me , not sure if it will work but it will be a major problem for us if i’m not able to leave her alone when we return to work ☹️Hubby is off for 2 weeks after my 2 weeks so it gives us a bit of time to try and sort it . On the up side of things Riley seems to be coming around and taking more notice of her 😊x |

chantel , have you tried putting a warm, hot water bottle and some rolled up socks in her bed with her? That was what I did with Jasper, and it was working too, but for OH insisting on having him bed with us.....He's regretting that move now. For a small dog he takes up more room than I do in a king size bed.

Oh I can believe it cazypops, we have a superking & Osiris is good at taking up the room, even more fun if we get both Osiris & Roman (not often), mind you Roman will lay on me rather than snuggle up with Osiris!!!! |

Yeah 😊 we actually had a peaceful night last night .
Tried her in the kitchen with baby gate but that was a definitely a no from the start 😊
Hubby brought her upstairs and popped her on her bed down the side of me with one of his old tshirts but she tried and tried to get on Riley’s bed with him but he was having non of it and he ended up jumping on the bottom of our bed and slept there all night but I just couldn’t be bothered to put up a fight with him ☹️
Elsa eventually got on her bed and snuggled hubby’s tshirt rather her than me 😊 a very sweaty gym tshirt but it worked she was flat out until 5:45 am when Freddy woke everyone up again grrr .
It’s amazing how much better you feel after a good nights sleep .
Just need to crack the kitchen for the daytime now when we are back at work, but it is a start and it is still only her 3 full day with us 😊x
