Add flour 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition to form stiff dough. On floured surface, knead in remaining flour until dough is smooth and no longer sticky, 3 to 4 minutes. Roll or pat out dough to 1/2 inch thickness; cut with cookie cutter. Place 1 inch apart on cookie sheets. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely. Store loosely covered. Makes 3 1/2 dozen large biscuits.

Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead. On floured surface, roll out dough to 1/4 - 1/2-inch (1 cm) thickness. Cut into dog-bone or desired shape. Arrange on ungreased baking sheets; bake in centre of 350°F (180°C) oven until dark brown and crisp, 40 to 50 minutes. Transfer to rack; let cool. Homemade Dog Treat Recipe Peanut Butter n' Honey Crunchies 1/4 cup honey 1 cup crunchy peanut butter 2 cups chicken broth or water 1/3 cup peanut oil 1 cup rolled oats 1 cup oat bran 3-4 cups oat flour Directions: Preheat oven to 350 ° F (180 ° C). In a small dutch oven or large saucepan, combine honey, peanut butter (try to find a brand that has no added suger, salt or other ingredients; ideally it should only contain peanuts), chicken broth, and peanut oil. The extra time in the oven as it cools off helps make the treats crispier. These make a more delicate crunchy biscuit, so we use them more for special or training treats, not tartar control. Roll out dough on floured surface. Cut out witch hat patterns and place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake in a 325 degree oven until golden brown, about 30-35 minutes. 1 egg 1c fast-cook oats 1/2 banana 1/3c milk 1/2c all-purpose flour 1/8c rice Squash bananas, and beat the egg. then spread evenly on a plate. Next, heat in microwave for 3 and 1/2 minutes. when done, let them cool. Then cut and serve. • 1 banana, peeled • 1 cup oat flour • 2/3 cup rolled oats • 1/2 cup dried parsley • 3 tablespoons peanut butter • 1 egg, beaten Preheat oven to 300°F. Put banana in a large bowl and use a spoon or potato masher to mash it thoroughly. Add oat flour, oats, parsley, peanut butter and egg and stir well to combine. Set aside for 5 minutes.
Roll mixture into 24 balls, using about 1 tablespoon dough for each; transfer to a large parchment paper-lined baking sheet as done. Use the back of a spoon or the heel of your hand to press each ball into a (1 1/2- to 2-inch) coin. Bake until firm and deep golden brown on the bottom, 40 to 45 minutes. Set aside to let cool completely.
Storage note: It's best to store these in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Or, freeze them to give to your pal later; just be sure to thaw the treats befor handing them out.

Preheat the oven to 300°F. Lightly grease a couple of baking sheets, or line them with parchment. Put the following in a mixing bowl: 2 cups King Arthur White Whole Wheat Flour or Premium Whole Wheat Flour 1 cup rolled oats, regular or quick 1 tablespoon dried parsley or 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley 1/2 cup Baker’s Special Dry Milk or nonfat dry milk 1/2 teaspoon salt Stir to combine.Add 2 large eggs and 1 cup (9 1/4 ounces) peanut butter, crunchy or plain.Stir to combine; the mixture will be crumbly.Add 1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon cold water, or enough to make a cohesive dough. Depending on the season, you may need to add a bit more (winter), or a bit less (summer).To make dog cookies, drop the dough in walnut-sized balls onto a lightly greased or parchment-lined baking sheet. Flatten to about 1/4” thick. Healthy Pumpkin Balls This snack is not only delicious but is also filled with fiber, vitamin A, beta-carotene, potassium, and iron. Preheat oven to 350 degrees 2. Mix pumpkin, molasses, vegetable oil, and water together in a bowl 3. Scoop out small spoonfuls of dough and roll into balls on your hands (wet hands work best) 5. Set the balls onto a lightly greased cookie sheet and flatten with a fork 6. Mint kiss dog cookies Ingredients: • 1 cup stone ground yellow cornmeal • 1 tbsp vegetable oil • 3/4 cup chicken broth (low or no sodium is best) • 1 egg • 1 tbsp grated cheddar cheese • 2 tbsp minced fresh mint Instructions: Preheat oven to 350° F.Measure cornmeal into a small bowl.In a sauce pan, bring the vegetable oil and chicken broth to a boil.Remove pan from the heat and stir in the cornmeal.Scoop the cornmeal mixture into a small bowl.Allow the mixture to cool to the touch.Spray the baking sheet with a non-stick cooking spray.Once the cornmeal mixture is cool to the touch, stir in the egg, cheddar cheese and fresh mint.Shape into 1” to 1 ½ “ balls. Or, scoop with a 1 " cookie scooper.Flatten balls into cookie shapes.Bake for 30 minutes.Turn off the oven and let the cookies cool and continue to dry in the oven for one hour. Dog candy canes Ingredients: • 3 cups all purpose flour • 1/2 cup nonfat powdered milk • 1/2 tsp baking powder • 1 cup warm water • 1 chicken bouillon cube • 2 large eggs • 2 tsp red food coloring (see tips) • 1/2 tsp peppermint oil flavoring (optional) • 1 large egg (for an egg wash) Instructions: Whisk together the flour, powdered milk and baking powder.In a small bowl, pour the warm water over the chicken bouillon, stir until dissolved.Whisk the eggs into the chicken water.Form a well in the dry ingredients, pour in the wet ingredients.Stir until thorougly combined.Knead the dough for about two minutes.Add more flour until the dough is no longer sticky.Seperate the dough in half.Form a well in one of the balls of dough.Add the food coloring and peppermint flavoring.Wearing food safe gloves, knead the coloring and flavoring throughout the dough.Cool the dough in the refrigerator for 2 hours or in the freezer for 30 minutes.Preheat the oven to 350° FDivide each ball of dough into tablespoon sized balls.Gently roll each ball into a "worm" shape, letting the dough rest when needed. Each strip should be about 5 inches long.Spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.Twist one plain strip with a red strip, and curl the end to shape a candy cane.Place on the baking sheet.Whisk the extra egg in a small bowl.Using a pastry brush, thoroughly coat each candy cane with the egg wash.Bake for 10 minutes.Cool completely on a wire rack. Baby beef dog treats Ingredients 2 3/4 cups whole wheat flour 1/2 cup powdered milk 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1 egg 6 tablespoons vegetable oil 8-10 tablespoons water 2 small jars strained baby food (beef, chicken, lamb, or liver)
Instructions Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients together (except water) in a large bowl and stir until combined. Add the water in a tablespoon at a time until the dough comes together and is workable. It will be a little stick. Knead the dough for about 3 minutes until the dough is smooth. Place the dough on a floured board. Roll out to about 1/4 inch thick. Cut with bone-shaped cookie cutter and place biscuits on an un-greased baking sheet.Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 25 min. Makes approximately 2 dozen doggie biscuits. Please note that 3" dog treats are pretty large. You may want to use a smaller cutter if you have a smaller dog.

1 c Uncooked Oatmeal 1 1/2 c Hot Water or Meat Juices 4 oz (1 cup) Grated Cheese 1 Egg, Beaten 1 c Wheat Germ 1/4 c Margerine 1/2 c Powdered Milk 1/4 tb Salt 1 c Cornmeal 3 c Whole Wheat Flour Servings: 10 In large bowl pour hot water over oatmeal and margerine: let stand for 5 minutes. Stir in powdered milk, grated cheese, salt and egg. Add cornmeal and wheat germ. Mix well. Add flour, 1/3 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. Knead 3 or 4 minutes, adding more flour if necessary to make a very stiff dough. Pat or roll dough to 1/2 inch thikness. Cut into bone shaped biscuits and place on a greased baking sheet. Bake for 1 hour at 300 degrees. Turn off heat and leave in oven for 1 1/2 hours or longer. Makes approximately 2 1/4 pounds.
1) Veggie Bones Ingredients: • 3 cups minced parsley • 1/4 cup carrots, chopped very fine • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella or parmesan cheese • 2 tablespoons olive oil • 2 3/4 cups whole wheat flour • 2 tablespoons bran • 2 teaspoons baking powder • 1/2 to 1 cup of water
Make Them Yourself: Preheat oven to 350 degrees, rack on middle level. Lightly grease a large baking sheet. Stir together parsley, carrots, cheese, and oil. combine all the dry ingredients and add to veggies. Gradually add 1/2 cup of water, mixing well. Make a moist but not wet dough. If needed, add a little more water. Knead for one minute. roll dough out to 1/2 inch thickness. Using cookie cutter or a glass, cut out the shapes and transfer them to the baking sheet. Gather the scraps and reroll and cut. Bake for 20-30 minutes until biscuits have browned and hardened slightly. (They will harden more as they cool.) Speed cooling by placing them on wire racks. Store in airtight tin.
2) Apple Crunch Pupcakes Ingredients: • 2 3/4 cups water • 1/4 cup applesauce, unsweetened • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla • 4 cups whole wheat flour • 1 cup dried apple chips ( you can also use fresh fruit) • 1 tablespoon baking powder • 1 egg, beaten slightly • 4 tablespoons honey
Make Them Yourself: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray muffin tin with cooling spray. Mix all wet ingredients thoroughly. Combine dry ingredients in separate bowl. Add wet to dry slowly , scraping well to make sure no dry mixture is left. Pour into muffin tins. Bake for 1 1/4 hours or until a toothpick inserted into center comes out dry. Sotre in a sealed container. Makes around 12-14 pupcakes.

Dog biscuit recipes for MEAT LOVERS Recipe #7 Beef Dog Treat
• 1 cup rolled oats • 1/3 cup unsalted butter (about 5 and 1/3 tablespoons), cut into pieces • 1 cup boiling water • ¾ cup cornmeal • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar • 2 teaspoons beef bouillon granules • ½ cup milk • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese • 1 egg, beaten • 3 cups whole wheat flour Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a large bowl, pour the boiling water over the oats and butter. Stir briefly and let stand for 10 minutes. Add cornmeal, sugar, beef bouillon, milk, cheese, and egg. Mix the ingredients. Add in whole wheat flour, one cup at a time, until a stiff dough is formed. Transfer to a surface and knead until the dough is smooth. You can sprinkle more flour if the dough is still sticky. Roll out the dough and use a cookie cutter to cut into shapes. Bake 35-45 minutes, until golden brown.
Low fat dog treats ½ pint (250ml) hot water 1 beef stock cube 2 tablespoons olive oil 4 cups whole wheat flour 1 stick celery, finely chopped 1 carrot, grated Dissolve the stock cube in the hot water and add to the flour and vegetables in a large mixing bowl. Add the stock gradually to form a thick dough, which you can roll out on a well-floured surface until it is about 1 cm thick. Then cut out small biscuit shapes using a knife or the end of an apple corer. Try and make the biscuits a little bit smaller than normal – every little helps when it comes to cutting down the calories! Place the biscuits on a greased baking tray and cook in a moderate over for about half an hour. Allow to cool and ration with steely determination! (store in the fridge in an airtight container for several weeks)

Storing - These treats will be fresh in the refrigerator for 3 weeks. Keep them in the freezer for up to 6 months.
Yield - Using a 3 inch cookie cutter, you'll get 24 biscuits. Tuna Training Treats • 2 6-oz. cans tuna in water, do not drain • 2 eggs • 1 to 1 ½ c. flour • 1 Tbsp. garlic powder • parmesan cheese Mash tuna and water in a bowl with a fork to get clumps out, then liquefy in blender or food processor. Add extra drops of water if needed to liquefy completely. Pour into bowl and add flour and garlic powder; consistency should be like cake mix. Spread into greased or sprayed pan; I find that a round pizza pan or square cake pan is perfect. Sprinkle with LOTS of parmesan cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes; edges will pull away and texture will be like putty. Use a pizza cutter and slice into teeny squares. These freeze beautifully, and the dogs love them...and, no liver to mess with! Go Bananas Training Treats • 3 cups oatmeal • 1 1/4 cups flour • 2 eggs • 1/4 cup oil • 1/2 cup honey • 1/2 cup milk • 2 mashed bananas Blend liquid ingredients, eggs and mashed bananas, making sure to mix well. Add flour and oatmeal. Mixture will be similar to cake mix. Spread into a well-greased pizza pan and bake at 325 degrees for about 25 minutes. Cut into tiny squares or strips using a pizza cutter. Keep refrigerated; store unused in freezer. The Scotties give these two paws up!!! Salmon Cookies • 15oz can of Salmon or Jack Mackerel • some flour • 2 teasp of salt • 1 teasp of baking powder • Optional: add sprinkle of garlic powder if desired (see Note about garlic below) Mix together fish, plus ALL liquid from can, salt & baking powder, add enough flour for texture Spread out on cookie sheet Score into sections (easier to break apart when done) Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 mins. or crust is golden Store in container in frig or freezer for longer periods of time
Dog Cookies • 3 cups whole wheat flour • 2 small cans dog food or cat food • 1 egg • 1 ½ to 2 cups liquid (I make sure it isn't to dry or to wet so you may have to make your own judgment as to how much liquid to use. I also use left over gravy or broth as the liquid). PreHeat oven to 375 degrees. Stir together all ingredients and drop by spoonful on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 12-14 minutes. These can be stored in refrigerated and also frozen. After these are cooled down I cut them into small pieces with kitchen shears then put them in freezer bags and store in the refrigerator. Sunflower Cookies makes 4-5 dozen • 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour • 2/3 cup Yellow Cornmeal • ½ cup Shelled Sunflower Seeds (can substitute pumpkin seeds) • 2 Tbsp Corn Oil • ½ cup beef or chicken broth • 2 eggs mixed with ¼ cup lowfat milk Glaze Beat 1 egg. Lightly brush on cookie before baking Preheat Oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, mix dry ingredients and seeds together. Add oil, broth, and egg mixture. Your dough should be firm. Let sit for 15-20 minutes. On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough ¼ inch thick. Cut into shapes and brush with glaze. Bake for 25-35 minutes until golden brown. Cool. Store cookies in airtight container.
