Do you think it matters if dog goes from L4 to L2? Looks like my dogs will be done at different vets and I think they use L2 and not L4! Mine had L4 last year. Gypsy due back for further bloods so will get Phoebe boostered and ask about Gypsy.

Protection from Lepto only lasts a few weeks anyway, so personally I wouldn't bother. caz2golden your vet certainly shouldn't be putting a vaccine anywhere near an unhealthy dog - so if they suggest giving any kind of "booster" to Gypsy then definitely say no. WSAVA guidelines - "49. Should one vaccinate an animal which is diseased, hyperthermic or stressed? No. This is contrary to good practice and the advice on most vaccine datasheets."

Samson has just been changed over to L4, I wasnt aware there were problems with the vaccination itself though . He got his 4 week booster for it on Saturday. No problems so far! If he has a reaction to it though there is no way he will be getting it again! Lepto isnt a big risk in this area, our vet nurse actually told us this when he first got it as a puppy so it was up to us whether we wanted him to get it, my mum said to give it to him just in case so hes been getting it ever since. The list of side effects is actually pretty scary when you look at it! If it was up to me he would not get this vacc as its pointless in my opinion but as always its not my decision . That is a scary article caz2golden . Has anyones dogs on here ever suffered a reaction to it? I think if this vaccination is as bad as these news articles and reports say it is then it should be taken off the market for further investigation. Its too much of a coincidence that this many dogs are having reactions to it. But of course money will be involved in some way like everything these days . Can't people report if their pet(s) suffer a reaction to a vaccination, i'm pretty sure I remember our vet nurse mentioning this when mum questioned what we should do if samson were to suffer a reaction? Also regarding the worming products I've heard bad reviews about Bravecto, the one that stays in the dogs system for 3 months, is it really a bad product? Has anyone had any experience with it? I'm not wanting to get it or anything, I'm just curious
