This is a UK based forum, so we may have different kinds of dog food here. However, good quality food, preferably grain free, suitable for small breeds should keep your girl healthy. Of course, you could consider feeding raw.... if you can find the right ingredients and can commit timewise and researchwise.

I second raw feeding, but if you can't do that, make sure the dog food is sugar free and contains as high a percentage of meat as possible. If it has "filler" then opt for one with sweet potato rather than rice, grains or normal potato.
If you feed your dog a good diet, then it should need minimal extra teeth care. My did eats raw and she doesn't appear to get any buildup of plaque on her teeth, she's only a year old though so I don't know, maybe she wouldn't have any yet anyway.
If you do decide to brush your dogs teeth, I'd recommend using coconut oil instead of toothpaste, it works very well and actually I use a mix of coconut oil and baking soda for my own toothpaste and find it works better than any toothpaste I've ever used. Many people give coconut oil as part of their dogs diet so I think if it is safe to be eaten, then it is safe to use as a toothpaste. Can't say the same for most pet (or human!) toothpastes.

Tripe stick or rabbits' ears could be suitable chews for a little mouth.

Hey everyone, I'm still here just been super busy and had some family health/work issues to sort out recently so been pretty tied up.
Yes, Lola LOVES the dehydrated rabbit and lambs ears and also having a good go on her stag bar (deer antler chews). We tried the dried tripe sticks and although she LOVED those too, my OH complained too much that they smelt really badly like poo and that they stank the house out so I can't give her those anymore, I must admit they did make her breath reek which kinda defeats the point of a clean, healthy, nice smelling mouth lol!

Should be on here more often than, shouldn't you?
And, whilst you're on here, there's a wine poll you might like to participate in. Only if you LIKE wine though, LOL.

I feed my chihuahua a raw diet and about once a month we get scrap bones from the butchers for him. He's so small it will take him about a week to pick the meat off the bones (if my sheltie doesn't steal it from him) but he loves it!
