Animals I love: Dogs
Pets I own: I'm Paige from South West England:) I have a pretty big furry family! We have three Dachshunds Cookie (my grandparents dog), Dasher and Poppit. We also own two Dobermans called Keke and Lexi and my chinese dwarf hamster called Stiles.

Hi this is my first time on a forum! So i'm learning all of this new stuff!  Just to introduce myself I'm Paige and I come from Devon, I love dogs and always have since I can remember. And now to introduce my family which I have lots of, I own four dogs which I adore so much! The first is Cookie who is a silver dapple miniature dachshund who is nearly 3, she's noisy and barks at any noise she hears she is also very stubborn. Second is Dasher who is a chocolate dapple miniature dachshund who is 2 years in October, he is very quiet and obedient and loves cuddles... he also loves stealing my other dogs toys as he does't agree on anyone else playing but him. Third is Poppit another silver dapple miniature dachshund, she is 18 weeks old today and is the cutest little button I think I have ever seen, shes quiet and very playful. She gives you puppy looks which are very hard to resist. Fourth and the new member of our family for only 5 days is Keke our black and tan doberman, she has settled in very well. Sits, lie down and paw she has mastered already so we are very happy considering the only command my other 3 could learn was sit. She is 9 and a half weeks old, very placid and good natured and loves cuddles on my lap... though I may have to stop this considering she will not stay the same size as my other dogs
I hope I get to grips with this forum and meet other people with the same love for dogs as i do

Welcome to the forum. I'm one of the cat owners here but I was brought up with dogs so take an interest in that side of the forma as well A friend of mine has had miniature dachshunds for many years, one of whom looks just like your Poppit although Rosie now well into her teens. It will be interesting to see how the dachsies react to Keke as she grows from a dog their size (& looks) to one quite a bit bigger. As Scallywag said we'll look forward to hearing more about your gang. Hope you enjoy it here, we're a friendly bunch of all ages & are more than happy to help whether it be with dogs or just how do do something on the forum - we're just beginning to work on a forum help section (the forum is only just over a month old although existed in other forms before then) so guinea pigs are always welcome to prove that the steps work & are understandable! Don't worry about appearing to ask silly (or whatever) questions they won't be - we want to make this forum enjoyable for both old & new new members  |

I LOVE the pictures all gorgeous but the daxies are adorable. I'm quite excited to meet you. I'm thinking about getting a second dog and a mini dachshund is on the short list, along with a Boston. Would be great to get your views on the breed as you have 3 in your family. Anyhoo, enjoy the forum, we are a friendly munch bunch if not a little mad ..... Ooh then again that might just be me??  |
