Hi maryangela, thank you so much for coming here & taking the time & effort (& it must have been an effort) to tell us the final part of your & Lucy's story I'm so glad you had those lovely extra months with her &, like all our pets, I know that she will have appreciated the final, difficult, loving decision you could make for her while she was just about able to enjoy her life but before it would become too hard for her. Lucy would have wanted the love you & she shared to shared with another dog & we'll look forward to hearing the story of your new labrador, as you say on another thread RIP Lucy whole again & happy playing at Rainbow Bridge

I'm pleased you had those 15 months together. You sound like a lovely lady and I wish you and your new Labrador the very best. Sweet dreams Lucy xx

Hello Everyone.
I'm having real trouble with the computer and this site - it just keeps stopping. I've tried the debug option of the choices 'continue', 'debug' or 'close', but nothing helps, as I'm no good with computers if anything goes wrong. I did manage to get the Shout Box up after switching everything off and on 4 times, and now it's OK - but I don't expect it to last!
I want to start a new thread now that I have taken on a new responsibility in the beautiful big black Labrador shape of Lettie. I am still missing Lucy terribly, and I have to try not to think about her during the day, even though reminders are everywhere, but Lettie is interesting, to put it mildly, and has been more than challenging in many ways but wonderfully co-operative in others. I can't wait to tell her story. I'll call the thread 'New Beginnings' when and if I manage to get it going.
Love to all who have helped me so much.

Hello Everyone. I'm having real trouble with the computer and this site - it just keeps stopping. Love to all who have helped me so much. maryangela I don't think its your computer, I have all sorts of freezing issue of late with the forum, I can be on it, scroll down a thread, all freezes, get chucked back to my email page ( but can't do anything there either ) get the circle going round and round as if its thinking, then suddenly thrown back onto the forum page I was trying to view, and chox away its all working again. Not sure what's been done via proboard's but there's lots of complaints over on the support forum grrrr

Arrrr thanks maryangela for having the courage to come on the forum and sharing your bad news.I have been wondering how you were both doing.I am glad that you got those extra months together.we will all understand the heart ache you will be going through it is the worst thing ever. When I lost my late dog I was very depressed and it was basically only having to get up for work that got me through the bad days.coming on the forum is good to be able to speak to people that know exactly how you feel don't ever think you are alone.I think getting another dog is really good it takes your mind off things.I hope you will come and have a chat on the forum we are here for you if you want to off load. Take care xx

Glad Im not the only one with computer blues. It's been terrible. I'm using a tablet now and it's fine for reading but too small to work on. I will come back with The tale of my new (to me) big fur baby as soon as I have time.

Thank you Chantel. I know what you mean, as I lost my first dog while I was working and I managed to do the job all day then fell to pieces as soon as I got home. I vowed never to have another until I retired, and I was lucky to be able to take very early retirement. Being at home all day just means that the memories, all so painful until some time has passed, won't let go of you for a moment.
