I have decided to start making snuffle mats again ๐itโs very therapeutic and will help with my anxiety. Iโm doing them for rough collie rescue . My material arrived yesterday so me and hubby spent most of last night cutting the polar fleece material into strips. I should be able to start a large one this weekend. Great idea , the charity will appreciate them ๐ฅฐ

I hope you feel better soon tonib. Me too , now I know why I dont have the jabs Thanks everyone for your well wishes. scallywag maybe if I'd had the jab earlier I'd not have got the flu(?) I definitely wasn't with it last night when I type my previous post or this morning when I rang the GP to rearrange my appointment. They agreed it made sense & would cancel the current one & the said but it's not this Saturday (i.e. tomorrow) but the 16th!!!! I did feel a fool I should have checked my calendar before ringing. So I'm still booked in for then but interestingly they did have an appointment for 23rd November but don't really want that as its the day before my birthday not that I'm doing anything then but don't want to tempt fate even further. A least I had a decent night not like the previous Thursday so hopefully I'll be better sooner. I have canelled the gardener for Saturday, he was going to be working on the front garden & we were going to decide what needed doing, e.g what's a weed/unwanted plant, what need pruning back etc. He starts at 8:15 a.m. so I though I deserved a lie-in/ not having to go & decide what needed doing next etc. He's a willing worker but only with a basic knowledge of plants. The back garden is just about done & will need going over again as we can now see the weeds reappearing as its quite bare. Some of the plants will be dormant under soil but I have a feeling a few have bit the dust unintentionally Also some of those that spread more than they should have bullied others into submission in the past! At least we can now see what's there now & decide how to prune/shape some of them. I've still got roses flowering but most of the other flowers have now gone for the winter, although at the front the Mahonia is flowering well.

Me too ๐does anyone know the latest I can plant some bulbs ? Ideally November is the last month but I have in the past planted in December and even January. They just flower later.

I cam home from my aerobics class last night at 8.30pm and saw the postman with his torch looking at the numbers on the gates so he could deliver his mail. Getting later and later.

good grief that was late! I got a surprise yesterday, I was upstairs when the doorbell rang, I came down slowly & was surprised to find a young Royal Mail postman at the door. He just wanted to tell me that I'd left my keys in the door!! How kind of him to take the time out of his round to wait for me to get downstairs to let me know.
I'd been expecting a workman so first thing had moved my car out the drive & also taken the wheelie bin from the back to the front for collection so had gone out the back door but also got some more cat food out the garage for which I needed my keys so I'd gone back in the front door which needed unlocking. I must have struggled with the door & what I was carrying so forgotten the keys!!!

That was very good of the postman. It's nice to know that someone is looking out for you.
