My throat doesn’t feel quite as sore today but all my joints ache and my ears hurts a bit today . I spoke to the group manager at work today and told her I would not be in work for the rest of the week and she told me that our reception manager is off sick too with a similar thing , apparently she turned up for work yesterday morning and had to go home. I know they will be struggling for staff but I won’t be doing myself any favours going in 🤧
The funny thing is that we both worked all day last Wednesday and we both started feeling off on the Thursday.
I just keep taking regular paracetamol and drinking plenty , I can’t really do more than that .

If your chest feels worse chantel, contact the doctor then as you could need antibiotics. I wonder who you both caught it off?

Exactly , you need to get yourself fit and well , or come 3 weeks you might be back to square one again . Try and switch off from work. Think of me instead chantel 🤭🤣🤣🤣🥰

Sorry to read you've got covid chantel & are feeling so poorly. I agree going into work is not a good idea. Take very good care of yourself.

Well so much for me covering today 8-6 I had to let the reception manager I would not be able to get in to work today because I was unwell 🤧. I started to feel unwell on Friday but thought I was just wiped out from the horrible 10 hr shift Wednesday . By Saturday afternoon I was freezing cold , shivering, headache, swollen glands in my throat generally feeling really rubbish. It was just by chance I had 1 Covid test left over so I thought I will just double check , and surprise surprise 😮 I tested positive 🙈 The policy for us is if you test positive you must wear a mask but can carry working but I just feel really rubbish and as much as I don’t want to let people down that I am working with I will not be thought of any better for dragging myself in and plus having asthma I don’t want to put my chest at any more risk ,it’s just not worth it. So I will just have to see how I am for Wednesday. Please, please look after yourself Chantel. My OH has been unwell for several days and despite two negative tests at home he is now in hospital with Covid after spending several hours in A & E yesterday while they tried to figure out what was wrong with him. He does have a heart condition so it s probably hitting him harder. Hope you are feeling better soon. Take care.

I hope that your hubby feels better soon meandmine. He's in the best place so they can monitor him as he has a heart condition. I have heart problems and when I had Covid 2 years ago I was very lucky I just had a bit of a cough. Took ages to test negative though and I passed it on to my hubby and daughter, who both had different symptoms and had it much worse than me. How is your chest chantel?

I'm doing ok thanks lotsofcats Thanks to you I have plenty of the fostair. Feeling generally achey and weak but fingers crossed my chest isn't too bad. I did a spirometry diary for 2 weeks and sent it in to the asthma nurse - she sent a message this morning saying I'm not blowing more than 350 so it does confirm that I definitely do have asthma, I thought that this was all ready confirmed. Gone the day's when you actually get to speak with a nurse it's all done by text message. 😞

He s still in an isolation side room at the hospital. He has been taken off the drip now and actually managed to eat a bit of weetabix this morning for breakfast ( first time since Monday) . His breathing has improved as has his kidney function so things are looking better at last. The worst bit is that I can't visit him both because he has Covid and isn't allowed visitors and because I have it, I m not allowed in the building. Thank you so much for asking. How about you Chantel?
