Yes that’s true scallywag she did actually ask me if I wanted any of her hours before they advertised, but I don’t want to take any more. I’m actually doing more hours now than I originally did before reducing my hours. I did 8-6 last Monday and Wednesday and I’m doing 8-6 this Monday because nobody else is volunteering to do any overtime due to staff holidays. But I’m going to start saying I can’t cover because it’s not fair than I’m doing all the cover plus my back is suffering from sitting all day. It’s because our manager that is off always covered the overtime. I was going to try the Gym today but hubby says I have got to rest my back ☹️ |

No you are not speaking out of turn scallywag hubby said exactly the same, they always know that they can count on me , that’s the problem lol but like I said I am going to start saying no because I feel exhausted today but thankfully it’s my day off. |

chantel, the more you do, the more they expect. I know! I'd always have a good excuse to say no up your sleave, because trust me, they will try and talk you round to working if you don't. That or they will start using flattery, like saying please do it, your the only one we can trust, to make you feel guilty for saying no. So stick to your guns lass.

Well so much for me covering today 8-6 I had to let the reception manager I would not be able to get in to work today because I was unwell 🤧.
I started to feel unwell on Friday but thought I was just wiped out from the horrible 10 hr shift Wednesday .
By Saturday afternoon I was freezing cold , shivering,headache, swollen glands in my throat generally feeling really rubbish.
It was just by chance I had 1 Covid test left over so I thought I will just double check , and surprise surprise 😮 I tested positive 🙈
The policy for us is if you test positive you must wear a mask but can carry working but I just feel really rubbish and as much as I don’t want to let people down that I am working with I will not be thought of any better for dragging myself in and plus having asthma I don’t want to put my chest at any more risk ,it’s just not worth it.
So I will just have to see how I am for Wednesday.

You poor thing chantel, to get Covid again. Definitely don't go to work, you need to rest and get over it. I don't like the policy of saying you can go to work with Covid and wear a mask. |

Me neither lotsofcats , I think every individual is different, sometimes people don’t feel poorly 😷 it’s just cold like symptoms so you can go to work and just wear a mask.😷 but no way could I go to work at the moment feeling how I feel, and I think that I do need to be a little bit more cautious now I have asthma especially working in that kind of environment. It’s strange because last week I saw quite a few people walking around in masks 😷 so it looks like Covid is doing the rounds again. |
