I hope that Ziggy is okay now Weims . Keep an eye on her if she is constipated as sometimes there's a good few days gone before you realise that they haven't used the litter tray and the problem has set in by then. If you don't have any of the paste you can always buy some lactulose from the chemist to keep handy. Just don't tell them it's for a cat when you buy it. I hope that you can find a place soon that will allow cats. Very frustrating for you. She seems a lot better now, it's hard to know if she's 'going' okay because she prefers outside to the litter tray, but we've got plenty of medicine still so she's getting that once a day to help things along:) And thank you Weims have you tried putting "cat friendly landlords" into google search, a few companies came up including Dogs Trust who have a section on advice on trying to find somewhere. Don't know if they cover your area but its worth looking at what comes up. Good luck, fingers crossed for you all. Thanks, I've given that a go and found some good advice, I've made Ziggy a "Pet CV" with everything I can possibly think to put on it saying what a good, well behaved girl she is!! Fingers crossed!

Had to take Bella to the vets yesterday for her annual check up & vaccination, not sure how everyone else’s vets practice is running but what an experience so stressful luckily Bella took it in her stride had to hand her over at the door and I wasn’t allowed in the building at all the vet came outside to speak to me I was so stressed handing her over & not knowing what was going on ☹️ she passed with flying colours & she’s not put on anymore weight thank goodness 😅

Good news on Bella molly9, When Roman & Lexie went for their annual vaccinations at then end of June that was the process but by 8th July they were allowing owners in with pets but with nurses handling the pet whilst the owner kept their distance in the consulting room, initially only at the hospital & a branch with a large consulting room. Now all surgeries (5 including the hospital) operate that way. The waiting rooms are marked out with spaced seating areas. spider your vet sounds really nice & you haggle over prices? Brilliant result

I see you're in print again lotsofcats, reader's letters & oddly the facing page (back cover) made me do a double take for Kiba I hadn't noticed my letter about Kai Ruki as they hadn't printed the photo of him sat in my husband's boots. They also shortened the letter. I also did a double take When I saw the inside back cover, so like Kiba-Khan.

I've been to the vets a few times and it is horrible handing over your cat. On Friday I had to take Toffee for his check up and vaccination and while I was waiting outside a man came out with his dog. When the vet came outside for Toffee I asked if we were allowed in now and she said I could go in if I wanted to. They have a screen on the side of the table where they examine the pets. It was much better to be able to discuss everything while the vet is examining the cat. Toffee was fine and has actually lost a bit of weight since last year, although still a porker at 6.85kg! Last year he was 7.25kg. The vet was a new one and has only been in the practice for a month and she was lovely, she likes cats and didn't treat him like a machine. I was thinking of changing to another practice because of all my favourite vets leaving or retiring, but may stay for this one. I'll see what she's like when Kiba-Khan has to have another blood test at the end of the month.

Glad to hear you've got a nice vet again lotsofcats & that they've now allowed owners (servants ) in to the surgery now, it really does make a difference.
