Well I got one of each of the 3 flavours of the trays today so we'll see how Osiris likes it over the next few days. The pouches were only available in boxes so didn't want to buy a whole box just to try.

I have two kittens and initially started feeding them whiskas kitten but noticed that there poop was very (sorry to be graphic) but very smelly and runny! After some online research, looked as though a change of diet might help so I popped to my local Pets at Home and enquired about kitten food with a higher meat content and less additives and they recommended Wainwrights... Almost immediately the "toxic" smell was gone after they went to the toilet and it was much firmer.
Admittedly they don't do too many flavours for kittens but a mix of wet pouches and dry food seems to be working perfectly and I will continue on with Wainwrights for as long as my little lovelies will let me!
The prices are tipped towards the slightly higher end, two boxes of pouches for £10 (special offer) but well worth the money and I've got 2 happy bellies! I'm really happy with this product and didn't realise it was so new.

Well I've tried 2 of of the 3 trays of Wainwrghts with no success at all - not even touched just shied away from. Osiris will usually try a new food its only when he does know it he turns his nose up. I think the problem is its a texture he really doesn't enjoy - like a liver pate. Haven't tried the pouches - I wish PAH would sell the individual ones so we could try a new food.

But there again it is a bit on the expensive side. Why is cat food so much more expensive than dog food?

I wish I knew the answer to that cazypops. I agree about the price as well but I'd really like to find something that Osiris will eat on a consistent basis. As usual tonight he's had 3 different options - including Roman's left-overs (as he's 5.6Kg he eats a fair amount as its all moist it involves a number of tins/pouches) & he hardly had an a bite out of any of them. Other days he'll happily eat at least 2 of them - we're trying the Gourmet Perle to see if he'll eat that - looks like its not an option!

I'm in the same boat with Flity tonib, and now Bandit has started. I'm just glad that they'll both pick at the new GoCat. I'm also convinced that Flirts goes out and finds his own food coz he never loses and weight.

Osiris will certainly hunt but he hadn't been out all day since about an hour after breakfast so don't he didn't have anything else to eat. Osiris won't eat dried at all he absolutely hates it even just the smell!

Mine are a bit like that too were dry food is concerned but the new GoCat Tender and Crunchy or whatever its called seem to appeal to them both for now. The fish one more than the meat flavoured one.

I think I've been lucky with my two, they don't seem too fussy with their food, but that could just be because there so young... As the boxes only only come in two flavors, they may go off it later on. I haven't tried the pate's yet, may do that over the next few weeks - see if I can expand Timon and Pumbaa's taste palette's!! I've been a bit cautious about what they eat as I've never had kittens before and I wouldn't want to make them sick My last cat was already 1yr when we adopted him and he was always quite happy with a variety of Sheba tins.

I was going to say, if you wanted to try the pouches, you can buy the boxes, put a pouch out and if they don't like it you can take it back and PAH will give you a full refund as the food has a 100% satisfaction guarantee. It's a win-win situation really
