I missed this! Thanks Gladys He went in today at 8:40 and it was absolutely heartbreaking leaving him because he was so excited to go in. He's also put on .2 of a kg so I'm a bit p*ssed. I'm also stressed to bits about him! He's having Pre bloods done and if anything abnormal crops up they'll ring me by about 10 and let me know. If not they'll go ahead with the dental and ring after the procedure. At the minute my heart's in my mouth, beating 100 miles an hour and I'm feeling very lonely (and he hasn't even been gone an hour) - how do people live without pets!?

Just had a call from the vets. His dental is all done and all went well apart from him having naff veins and needing both his legs shaving. He didn't need any extractions fortunately and he had his ears flushed. I wasn't told anything about his bloods but I'm sure they'll go through everything when I pick him up at half 3. I can't wait that long! I'm so happy he's alright though and on to ordering logic gel now

Oh poor Jasper, I hope he's ok. I know I was worried about our Jasper when he had to have an x ray two weeks ago. Even though we knew it was the anesthetic that was making him feel dopy that evening, it was still worrying.

Very pleased Jasper is o.k. charlottte. We all worry like mad about our pets when they have to go through procedures, and instead of relaxing,we spend our time fretting and missing them.Start Jaspers teeth cleaning regime right away,(did the vet have any samples of Logic Gel?)Most useful to set a time each day for doing his teeth then you won't forget,as tartar soon starts to build up,and now his teeth are squeaky clean, you will want to keep them like that.Good luck with the rest of his tests.

Thanks all Tonib, We picked him up at 3:30 this afternoon - I forgot to update again! His teeth are sparkling and his ears actually look a lot cleaner! He didn't need extractions and had nothing abnormal in his bloods. They were checking for hypothyroid as his heart rate was low, so he's obviously just super fit! Migsy, they didn't have any in but I've ordered some and I'm going to be using his plaque off until it gets here. I'm also hoping that his gums won't be as sore so now he might be happier eating dry food which should help. It must feel odd for him as we offered him some scrambled egg earlier and he didn't look like he could chew on his back teeth. He's still not too happy although he has picked up a bit. He's been moody all evening but when Glen came in he say up and wagged his tail so I think it's me he's just not friends with lol I had to carry him up to bed as he just sparked out on the rug downstairs. We're going on a nice walk tomorrow though, hopefully to cheer him up a bit

Cazypops, I agree it's awful! I can't remember being this stressed last time he had a GA! They don't half worry you! He was walking before and then he's just throw himself down on the floor to lie down. He also had the runs a little but earlier so I'm assuming he's just feeling a bit off.

He's still not my friend but I managed to get a tail wag this morning. I'm assuming he's just still shattered bless him charlottte glad it all went well, the anasetic needs time to fully get out the system, he will be just fine with you, it is always us who walk, feed and look after their health needs who suffer Beau is just the same. OH does nothing, not even walk Beau, but he does have him outside at the weekends, all day long, just pottering. When he gets home Beau goes mad, sounds like he is being murdered! Then runs off for a ball and straight to the door, thats before OH can even put car keys down

Hi charlottte I have been away and only just seen this so sorry for late reply. So glad all went well and Jasper is home and safe again. Also good to know that the blood work didn't show anything horrid.
