Arden Grange! hmm - do they do the tubes for cats? I'll have to have a look as we won some from the forum & it was thoroughly approved of by 3 out of 4 cats, the other wouldn't touch it.

I don't think they do (yet). They have added Vets Kitchen treats for cats though! They really focused on revamping the dog treat section this time round so maybe they'll focus on the kitty cats next Oh and they have phased out even more of the rawhide treats now. There is a now quarter of what they had compared to a year ago.

It's a good step, but sadly they still have an awful long way to go!

It's a good step, but sadly they still have an awful long way to go! Yep I know. You won't believe how many unhappy customers we've had though that can't find their usual rawhide treat. I'd love PAH to stop selling foods like Bakers, but so long as uneducated people buy it, they will sell it. We are actually driven instore to try and swap as many customers over as possible to nutrition foods now I can personally say I have stopped a lot of people buying Bakers and the like over the past year

I would also appreciate places like P@H to scrap Bakers! Nice to hear they are selling some nutritious dog treats - Earl loves Thrive especially. We once won a pack in a competition and from then on he has been a fan!! Well done petitsfilous; for making sure not as many people buy Bakers, and that they can be well aware of the truth of the food. They will find many benefits behind NUTRITION foods.

I always recommend they buy the biggest possible cage/hutch/tank they can afford. Another great thing is... I have the right to refuse any pet sales if I'm not 100% happy that the new owner is going to be able to meet the needs of the pet. I've had to refuse a rabbit sale before because they lived in an apartment and didn't have access to a garden. I've refused countless fish sales and even gotten into arguments before. The welfare of the pets come first in my opinion. I'd love them to stop keeping their beardies on sand too but there is only so much I can do. Other than that, I love my job and am very proud to work there

At our P@H they have like a pick and mix type section for treats, Jasper loves the little bone shaped biscuits. I'm just not sure what they are or if they are healthy. Do you have any idea what they might be and if they are a good buy petitsfilous

Cooper knows where those pick & mix sections are in all the P@H stores we visit. He pulls me to that aisle so he can hoover up the dropped ones. It's the only time he ever gets those sort of treats!! His favourite ones are the gravy bones and he always leaves the charcoal ones!?! We have actually had customers and staff give him treats from the containers because there was none on the floor!!

I've picked up a bag of Arden Grange treats in Waitrose, and they sell Harringtons Training treats too.
Is it just me, or are other people noticing more healthy pet food being sold in Waitrose (if anyone shops there!)? They're starting to sell Lily's Kitchen, Arden Grange, ECT. I noticed Asda had non of them today, and I don't know about Tesco and Sainsburys.
I think if the big supermarkets started selling the better quality dog food, people might do some research into the food. I will be honest, I had never heard of Burns, Arden Grange, ECT. before, until I started coming onto the forum. bectil

The trouble is it comes down to money as well as knowing whats out there. People see food that is cheap and they can grab while they do the weekly shop. Some don't even look at whats in the food. Oh and on the subjuect of Bakers, My Cousin feeds it to his Boxer/Staffie and she is in wonderful condition. And her teeth are amazing, that's how I found out he feeds Bakers because her teeth are soooooo white I though he was feeding raw without me knowing?!?
