I've picked up a bag of Arden Grange treats in Waitrose, and they sell Harringtons Training treats too. Is it just me, or are other people noticing more healthy pet food being sold in Waitrose (if anyone shops there!)? They're starting to sell Lily's Kitchen, Arden Grange, ECT. I noticed Asda had non of them today, and I don't know about Tesco and Sainsburys. I think if the big supermarkets started selling the better quality dog food, people might do some research into the food. I will be honest, I had never heard of Burns, Arden Grange, ECT. before, until I started coming onto the forum. bectilI have not looked in tescos in ages (so dont know if they still do) but when my youngest was a pup they sold harringtons food and treats and vet kitchen sauces/supplements. They also sold toplife puppy milk which she loved!!

At our P@H they have like a pick and mix type section for treats, Jasper loves the little bone shaped biscuits. I'm just not sure what they are or if they are healthy. Do you have any idea what they might be and if they are a good buy petitsfilous I think they're just made from cereals/grains. Bernie turns his nose up at them. For instance... We discontinued pretty much all our unhealthy mixer foods and replaced it with a proplan mixer. Whilst it's still not the best, it's much better. And... discontinuing unhealthy treats and rawhide to make way for the new nutrition treats. I had a very unpleasant lady yesterday rant on at me that we no longer sold a certain type of Bakers food. And that her dog loved it and she is now going to shop elsewhere. Stupid woman.

My main issue is them selling pets and teeny housing for them But yes, I also cringe when I see Bakers being bought. I always recommend they buy the biggest possible cage/hutch/tank they can afford. Another great thing is... I have the right to refuse any pet sales if I'm not 100% happy that the new owner is going to be able to meet the needs of the pet. I've had to refuse a rabbit sale before because they lived in an apartment and didn't have access to a garden. I've refused countless fish sales and even gotten into arguments before. The welfare of the pets come first in my opinion. I'd love them to stop keeping their beardies on sand too but there is only so much I can do. Other than that, I love my job and am very proud to work there It's good that you do, there's a couple of staff who do in my nearest one as well But they still shouldn't be selling most of them anyway but things are improving, no doubt there!

Improving to the day where hopefully *people will simply not buy Bakers (or products similar) at all! Dogs would be so healthy with a proper nutrition food. Owners simply have no clue what is included in their dog's food. Hey, I wonder if * will happen one day?

Some dogs do very well on Bakers all their lives though, until that stops happening, people will keep buying.
