Seen this forum was lacking in use so thought I'd throw this one in for good measure and see what happens.
As well as my two Chihuahua's I also have two horse's
My Chi's are Jake and Red and my horse's are Kyle and Spike
I don't ride and get pleasaure in seeing them when I get the opportunity which isn't very often especially in this weather.
Who else has horse's and other pets Look forward to hearing from ya

I used to ride & did seriously consider having a horse of my own & found 3 that I nearly bought but they didn't quite work out. I also worked quite long hours on occasions often unexpectedly & wouldn't always be able to groom/ride each day so decided it would have been unfair on the horse & the livery yard where I'd have to keep it to suddenly not be able to turn up when planned & for someone else to have to care/exercise my horse at short notice. In the end I continued riding school horses (sometimes friends') twice a week.
I still miss riding and now retired have considered going back to it but would have to lose a bit (or should that be quite a bit) of weight before I'd find a riding school horse that would be suitable!!

Well, it is a possibility Gladys, and to be fair as soppy as it may sound, you must always follow your dreams because if you don't then you will have no way of fulfilling them!

I don't own a horse or ride. I always wanted to learn as a child but money was always (and still is) a bit tight. One of my brothers actually went away to be a jockey years ago but it didn't work out. He started working on a farm when he was in his teens, when that was taken over by the REPCA, he stayed and loves it. I don't think he rides much but he always has pictures of videos of his partner and her daughter riding and jumping their horses. I believe they schooled one of their own One of my best friends is also getting a horse soon and she has promised she'll take me to see him. I did an Equine Care module in college which I loved. Horses are glorious animals, give me chills when I see them galloping

I horse ride, but don't own a Horse. Although my Mam said that if we had the money I could have my own..... I love it!!!!! Been riding since last October and I like to think that I am pretty good at it, obviously not a pro but definitely better than when I started. Planning to help out in my stables over summer, and maybe next week. A friend of mine just started last week and I would love to see her go! I've only fallen off 3 times, my first and 2nd time only about a minute between them because firstly Chester spooked going into canter and threw me off and second because I was trying to get him into canter but I fell forward and he stopped trying to save me! Last time I fell I was on Marble and I turned too late for my jump, he basically trotted into the wing and still actually did the jump, which I was not expecting! Never hurt myself though, it was actually quite fun! My favourite Horses have to be Clyde, Avalance and Bobby...... and Marble. Bobby is a star though, always so happy!!!! He's relatively new to the place too, hasn't been worked in a year and you wouldn't know when you watch him go! Just a Pick of me with Bobby, Think that was his 2nd or 3rd day at the stables!

I have been riding for 2 years now and have not fallen off at all, have riden bare back loads and traotted bare back with no reins just head collar and lead rope, have almost fallen off a couple of times doing no stirup work and trying to canter and turning tight corners horse was very good he slowed into walk when i started to side . I dont really have any favourites at the moment as i keep changing stables and every time i ride i ride a diffrent horse.

Your horse in your photo looks lovely, Demson I had a little 11.2HH Welsh Sec. A when I was younger, which me and my mum shared so that we could spend time together. Unfortunately we had to sell her because I out grew her, though I rode a friends pony for a few years. I have since lost interest in the riding side, though if we had a house with land then we would have a rescue Shetland or small Welsh Pony bectil

Oh dear! I fell off again yesterday! Jumping with Bobby and he was doing great, was insisting on cantering the course so we did. Went over the jump and he made a sudden turn, I basically stepped off him(I got one leg over the saddle and was basically standing on the other stirrup before falling) and then he went off and got the tree branch off of one of the jumps (they were cross country yesterday) Got back up, did a circle and then did our last jump, which was a thin one and he bounced into canter before he got to the jump which led to me nearly going over his head..... ( I didn't that time though) Was absolutely hilarious!!!!! I loved the cross country jumps and Bobby's canter (he's like a rocking horse) they say 20 falls and your a professional rider so 16 more falls to go for me and I'll be a pro!!!!!
