Kiba-Khan hadn't been in his litter tray since doing 2 lots on Thursday and I was starting to worry again. Thankfully, he did some in the night. He looks really well, his fur feels nice and his tail is very bushy again. Hopefully I'm doing something right and he's okay for the foreseeable future.

I'm giving Kiba-Khan lactulose in 2 meals per day and I bought some new granules to try, Johnsons' Diagel. It does a similar thing to the Peridale I used to use. It's to aid constipation and digestive disorders to restore natural bowel movement. Downside is the price, when I bought 4 sachets they cost ยฃ3.83 each off eBay and 1 sachet lasts 2 + days, so that's approx. 3 sachets a week, ยฃ11.49 per week. I'm not sure if it's just supposed to be a one off treatment or can be used continually, I'm going to email Johnsons. KK didn't like his food with the Normacol granules mixed in it.

I had a reply from my email to Johnsons regarding Diagel and they said to give for 7-14 days and then again later if he needs it. Thing is, I don't know if Kiba-Khan's system is able to return to normal without help - we shall see.

Thanks for the tip chantel, I will try a bit of Weetabix with milk - it's the fibre that's good for constipation.

Kiba-Khan is much better, he just needs to put back on the weight he lost when he was ill. I've got his constipation under control using the lactulose and Diagel. Here's a pic of him on Saturday evening. You can just make out Bramble on his left, on top of the armchair with him. on Flickr

I think that he was saying "stop calling me to look up to have my photo taken when I want to sleep". You were right tonib.

Tell her thank you for that. I've been trying to order some Peridale but I couldn't transfer to my basket. I've tried phoning them but had to leave a message. Fingers crossed that I can get some, I'd feel safer with a stock of it. I can only get the Diagel off eBay. I think I've missed out, it states low stock but won't transfer to my basket. If I try adding a different item, that's fine. I looked online to see if I could find any others and I found 2 pots of the granules on eBay, the seller's last pack of 2. Vet Pharmacy phoned me and said they haven't got any Peridale at all and it shouldn't be showing as 'low stock' and she would remove it from there. Oh well, at least I've found some of the granules, which will be handy to have.
