Update..
Alfie's blood test has come back, the vet has told me that he is still recovery, I'm hoping I'll find out more tomorrow to see what I can do to help him, he's not had any trilostane for 10 days now.
He has only just started to eat again in the last couple of days but hes not himself, he has his good times but he can also have his very quiet, flat times too.

It's a good sign that Alfie has started to eat again. I hope he continues to improve.

Hope Alfie is feeling a bit better today . He is certainly one little fighter bless him 😻thinking of you both xx He's better than what he was, he's very quiet but I think that's down to his hips. He's back on his trilostane but I've had to knock the dose down since Monday as he started to stop eating again, my vet has left me to control what dose He's on because it's a constant watch. When He's been on the same dose for 10 days he's got to have an 'acth' blood test, and we'll find out from there what to do with the trilostane. I've never known an animal who has had to fight so hard, but I'm so proud of him.

Update...
We've found another lump by his penis, I ve got him in the vets this afternoon also his DM is starting to take it toll, he's started having the odd accident and not realised its happening till its too late, he has also cut one of his pads We've been treating it but if it don't heal soon the vets wants to take some samples from it.
It so heartbreaking seeing what's going on with him.

Sorry to read the the latest news, you are brilliantly doing so much for Alfie & it must be taking its toll on you all, as you say heartbreaking. Its great you have a vet that works well with both you & Alfie.
Hope all goes well at the vets today.

Update...
Sadly the results has come back and it is cancer again, we've decided not to operate this time due to his 'DM' taking a toll on him also the type of cancer it is it's going to keep coming back and end up in his heart.
Some of you might think it's not the right decision but I need to think of Alfie and I can't keep putting him through surgery all the time, I love my boy more than words can say this is why we've made this difficult decision.

I totally agree with you scruffsmaz, it was not an easy choice for you to make but you have to think of his quality of life and just spoil him rotten. He would rather be at home with you than in the vets all the time.

Absolutely agree with lotsofcats if Beau gets worse on his back legs , I would not put him thru another op and have him grounded for another 6 months , he is coping well at the moment. He has a growth ( wart ) on his nose size of a small grape , he keeps making it bleed , vet can remove it but its a gamble putting him under , decided not to , so completely understand your decision scruffsmaz. Hugs to you both xx
