Oh that is really good news. Are you still keeping her on the renal diet lotsofcats ? Yes, I will keep her on the renal diet for now, but with some other food now and again. I will definitely keep her on the dried RC renal biscuits and just let her have other wet food.

I'm pleased all is well. The indignities we suffer for our cats' wellbeing eh?

I booked Bramble in for her vaccination booster on Friday and her 3-monthly check on her bladder and kidneys. I took a sample of Bramble's urine in 2 days before. The vet said he wouldn't be able to do her vaccination as her urine sample has blood in it and crystals and an infection but her kidney function is good. She had an antibiotic injection instead. Her weight on her last visit was 5.22kg and this time it was 5.15kg. The vet said her kidneys and bladder felt okay. I have to take another urine sample in next week and Bramble has to see the vet on Friday 19th.

A disappointment. Poor Bramble and poor you. If it was only the crystals you can give Bramble SD and after that CD, but she already has a Renal diet. My Panter had CD all her life. What did the vet advise?

I didn't ask the vet about Bramble's diet and whether to change her RD dry food. I might ring and check with him before I go back with Bramble next week.

Sorry to read about Brambles urine test lotsofcats. Hope the antibiotic jab does the trick. Did you mean RD kibble as that's weight loss not renal if its Hills. The renal is KD but I seem to remember you trying the Royal Canin renal kibbble so presume that was meant to be RC.

I've just dropped Bramble's urine sample into the vets on the way to work and I have to phone later for the results to see if it's infection, blood and crystal free so that she can have her vaccination booster. Hopefully the antibiotics worked.

The sample wasn't clear and the vet wants to see me to discuss Bramble's diet to see if that's the cause? I had already made an appointment for Friday morning for her vaccination booster so we will discuss it then.
