Bandit is back to normal now, Not had any trauma with the antibiotic. she like the little gourmet pate tins, so was able to hide them in that. she didn't have a clue. I think you're right dutchkitties that the loose fang has been the problem, but there's no way she will let you near her mouth to have a look, so I don't know how long she's been in pain with it, as like most animals she hid the pain very well. lotsofcats the OH was saying that when he took her in he was asked when Bandit had last eaten, so he said it was the night before and the vet was happy with that but said that she would have been ok to still have had her water that morning, so I think your right in it varying from practice to practice.

So glad all went well.I'm sure we all worry about anaesthetics and our pets,worrying they will choke and die.Our last vets used to say no food after evening meal,and just a small last drink early morning.Perhaps some err on the side of caution.Such a huge relief to get them home again.
