There IS that We shall see what the future brings The limping has virtually gone now and Hattie has been very lively and vocal today and even clambered up onto Neil's knee and stuck her head into his bowl of cereal and started lapping away at the milk before he could stop her She's certainly a character

Haha glad Neil has a cat buddy again since you said the other two aren't as keen on him, sure he's delighted. More Hattie pics soon please! My iPad keeps autocorrecting her name to Hattiesburg for some reason hahaha, so if I ever say Hattiesburg here you'll know what I mean

Hahahaha I noticed you'd called her Hattiesburg yesterday and actually thought it a cute nickname And yes, Hattie is supposed to be Neil's cuddly cat but 9 times out of 10 she will climb up and sit on MY lap!!!! Chilli is thawing out slightly towards him (she's more generous with her purrs now she's happy to have some outdoor freedom) and Lily actually snuggles up ON the bed next to him during the day! He says the only drawback is that she pushes herself against him so firmly and stretches out and pushes against him that he ends up having to sleep near the edge instead of the middle of the bed!!! Hattie's latest bed - pure wool blanket next to the night storage heater!

Hattie knows how to get the most comfortable & warm spot Know that bed sharing. Osiris is ever so good, he maybe curled up on my side of the bed (a good bed warmer ) but when I ask he moves over in to the middle. So both Mark & I land up being wary of squashing him & keep to our edge of the bed!!!

Wow you can really see the lump in her side there, it's huge! What a cutie, I love the two white cheeks she has, such nice markings. Haha @gillykat I know the feeling, Carlotta almost shoves us out of bed and once she's snuggled up its hard to have the heart to move at all anyway haha. Mieze usually just sleeps at the end of the bed, unfortunately for my feet. If I move them too much for her liking she's quick to swipe haha, ouch!

Wow you can really see the lump in her side there, it's huge! What a cutie, Yes, it's pretty gross I can actually put my whole hand around it....yet it doesn't seem to be giving her any pain as she doesn't flinch or anything if you touch it. She was limping on the left foreleg again yesterday but isn't too bad this morning *touch wood* so I'm keeping an eye on that. It may 'just' be a touch of arthritis in the leg which a wee drop of loxicom will fix. I'll mention it to the vet on Thursday...tho' if it gets really bad we'll be in earlier than that! One of our previous oldies, Misty, had a dicky foreleg too and just one drop of loxicom in her food every day eased the pain and she WAS noticeably happier and less grumpy

Well let us know how you get on at the vets anyway, hope it's nothing too bad. Most likely is arthritis anyway.

She's currently snoozing away on a folded duvet cover on the floor next to me - talk about spoilt rotten!!! Just had her second felimazole pill and a drink of milk to wash it down and she's now fast asleep

Thursday morning at 9.10am Hopefully the Felimazole will have started to get her hyperthyroidism under control and her rate back to a more normal level. Then we can proceed with a blood test to check to see if her kidneys will stand up to an anaesthetic to remove her rotten teeth and possibly that lump too. It's hard to forecast how it'll go as she is still painfully thin but her personality is really showing now and she's proving to be a really sweet old girl As soon as we get back from the vet I'll post the results/conclusions. Then at 11am we are off to Amble to get our TEMPORARY foster baby who is in need of taming Hopefully he'll pick up on Hattie's laid-back attitude and come around really quick

New boy is only temporary House in Seaton Delaval was over-run with cats & kittens (owner didn't neuter ) so the local RSPCA took a few away and Linda's new charity are getting a litter of five who are around 5 months old and pretty feral as they haven't been handled. Linda is splitting the litter up so the individual kittens could have one-to-one work on them to try to 'tame' them and make them more appealing to adopters. When I heard I just HAD to offer to take one as I've had wild ones in the past and they'll often turn around and become fabulous cats once they learn to trust humans Four boys ~ 2 ginger & white, 1 longhair black & white, 1 grey & white ~ and one girl who's a Nortie Tortie (all neutered I think) so I said a boy and we're going to pop along to Linda's on Thursday morning around 11am after Hattski has been to the vets. So yeah.....if the definition of a Crazy Cat Person is when there are twice as many cats as humans in the house then it looks like Neil and I now qualify....or will once Kitten comes home!!!!!! Looking forward to meeting him and getting on with taming him Neil has dug out another bed, couple of blankets, scratching post, toys etc etc and is, as I type this at 12.24pm, downstairs putting the cat flap in
