I think the vet only mentioned one eye as it's only one that's weeping now. It was two to start with. I don't want to get this operation done only to have to repeat it again with the other eye. Luckily I have pet insurance to cover the operation although it will still be costly after the excess of £90 is taken out and also, as Kiba-Khan is classed as old at 12 years of age there is also a 20% co-payment that I have to pay!

Ouch for Kiba-Khan & your pocket lotsofcats but worth it if it permanently solves the problem. Will he have to wear a "cone of shame" for a while? Well done on getting Toffee to release the pigeon.

I can't imagine Kiba-Khan putting up with the "cone of shame", although I think our vets sell the soft collar-type ones now tonib. The pet insurance company I use has stopped doing group insurance spider so it's an individual one. I've no idea how much the operation will cost!

Insurance companys don't really help out all they want is money we ok we only have one but wouldn't a company that would cover a family of cats be a great help They used to do up to 3 pets on one policy, which gave a saving. I had the dog and 2 cats on one policy and Kali and her 2 girls on another one and then the other 2. I think it was when I was with Tesco insurance, but they decided to stop it.

Hope all goes well for Kiba-Khan's op next week. Naught Toffee, but Jasper says can he teach him how to do it, coz he keeps trying to get those pesky pigeon who keep perching on his fence.

I've been meaning to post this one I described it once in a post or conversation with lotsofcats . Everyone who visits us thinks they can see Roman's tail the other side of a table/chair but what they see is:- P1060089 by osiriscat, on Flickr a rabbit fur toy!!! Mind you today it was very close to the front door as I came in & Osiris was just ahead of me & he gave it a double take. Lexie is the one who really plays with it, moving it around the house upstairs & down! I sometimes wonder if she thinks it is Roman's tail as well
