Had a bad hail storm earlier this afternoon, didn't last long thankfully as we were on the way to the park, and it had stopped by the time we got there.

Luckily I think storm Gareth missed us. Today it's a bit wet but the sun is trying to come out.

We've had strong winds over the last few days. Of course it blew over the wheelie bins waiting for collection on Thursday morning (they come around 7:30 so were out overnight) 3 of the 4 bins were lying on the ground (both of mine & only 1 of next door's 2) together luckily the paper bins stayed with their lids closed & binmen picked up most of the small amount of bottles & tins that I saw on the ground (just before they arrived). I've got the garden waste wheelie bin on its side, between another 2 (upright) bins since it blew over across the passage way & would have been a risk to cats if fell again & humans (in the dark!). Luckily I heard the crash & was able to deal with it promptly. Its a newer bin & seems lighter than the other 3 & often has its lid blown open especially when it rains as well & I have to empty the water out!!!
I got the cats in early for the worst night. Osiris doesn't like the rain but the wind seems to have given him some loopy moments outside chasing around. Roman has stayed in a bit more but is enjoying the sunny periods whereas Lexie is definitely a warmth appreciator & is hardly going out.

been there done that except the ditch that runs down the side of the property and next door, couldn't cope with the deluge, over flowed into the road. Turned the road into a 12" river which promptly took the wheelie bin down stream , everything was floating down the road it was the rubbish not the recycling bin, 11pm at night we were out there trying to clear the drains with the neighbours and collecting the rubbish, our bin was 2 doors down

That doesn't sound much fun scallywag. We did have heavy rain & there was some flooding in the area overnight Monday/Tuesday but we were all right. The wind has been the worst of it & we're still getting some but not as bad as at the start of the week.
