Well they are helping with the weeing , it’s not going through to the carpet at least ,although I do put an old towel under the puppy pads. The only thing is that once he has had a wee on it the smell is very strong so I bin it and replace with a clean one.
I still can’t make my mind up whether Freddy is weeing on it or it’s leaking from the clips on the box , because when I look inside the box the litter is wet at the back.🤔 I have one more change of litter left and then I’m going to go back to the old litter that I used before (pellets) I have only noticed the strong smell since using the cheaper litter . Hubby has ordered some puppy pads from Temu £8.00 for 50 puppy pads so will see what they are like when they arrive.

Never had a cat so not sure how these litter trays work , have you thought about putting a pad in then the pellets or whatever ?
Like l say l have no idea what your going thru 🤦♀️😹

Well mystery solved at last - I was getting ready for bed last night when I heard a noise like a tap running, I thought I had left the shower running, but no , I went to look in the little bedroom ( freddy's bedroom) to find him having a wee at the back of his litter box and it was spraying up the back of the tray. When he came out I lifted the box up and the pad was all wet and I could see that it was running down the back of the tray where it clips together 🤔 so I think we can now say that the litter box is leaking and the mystery is now solved . So looks like we will need to go and get a new litter box this weekend 😅

Problem solved chantel. Lets hope all is well when you get the new litter tray. That would have been a good idea of yours scallywag, to put the puppy pad under the cat litter. It won't work for me though because Willow sometimes wees over the edge of the litter tray. It is helping with the puppy pads in place. Kiba-Khan always weed outside of the tray because when he weed it was like a big arch of wee!!

So glad you resolved the cause to of the problem chantel, now to find a secure covered littered tray. Which one where you using so if anyone has any suggestions they can ignore that one or learn not to buy it themselves

To be honest I have had it for a few years from amazon I'm not sure why all of a sudden it is leaking 🤔 If anyone has any suggestions it would be great. Not too expensive, I paid about £28:00 for this one .🐱

We went to petsathome and decided on the extra large one tonib 🐈 it should have been £31.00 but on offer at £23;25. It does seem much roomier inside for him . I also decided to go back to the wood pellets that he had before . 🙈I can’t believe how much the price has increased 🙈£10.99 it used to be around £6:99 but is odour free. That was the reason i changed to the grit none clumping , but I suppose you get what you pay for and Sir Freddy wasn’t too keen 😂 I’ve told Freddy this is his early birthday 🎁 present.😻since this is the second one I have bought I just a few months 🙈we will just have to see how things go. Hubby has cleaned his old one out and I have put an old blanket inside , thought it would be shelter for the feral cat that sometimes comes for food 😻especially with this awful rain.☔️

When we lost first Bandit and then Flirts, we put the litter tray we had outside in the garden, and now it's a bird bath. 20200421_172053 by Cazypops, on Flickr

My mischievous Freddy is 9 today 😻where on earth has the time gone. He has a belated new food dish on the way but not delivered yet ☹️ He was being served applaws tuna fillet and crab for his tea by his personal servant (daddy) when I arrived home from work 😂😂
He has had a very snoozy day 😴
