chantel, I can really sympathise with you. I had that problem with Kiba-Khan all the time. At the moment it's Willow who misses the litter tray when weeing. Blackberry nearly always misses when she poos.

That’s a very handy tip spider , as for the family it’s very difficult because cats are very clever and we just don’t know what they are thinking 🤔 same with Freddy- does he have a issue with the litter or is it a senior cat thing ‘ who knows, well the puppy pads have arrived so I’m hoping that placing them at the side/ back of the litter box what ever the issue it won’t be a big problem.

Well the puppy pads have helped with the situation lotsofcats , I placed a puppy pad just at the side of his litter box in between the box and the end of the bed and when I checked this morning there was a big wet patch on the puppy pad , but I placed a towel underneath and it hadn’t leaked through. I’m not making a big issue of it , now I know I can just pop him a puppy pad down. Hubby said about getting another tray , but Freddy has my son’s old room and really not a lot of room for another box, i can’t guarantee he would you use it, and then there’s also the cost of more litter 🙈 Obviously if things get any worse then I might have too but for the meantime I can cope.

Seems like it's working chantel. I also bought some puppy pads from Asda this morning to try for Willow. I still have a large cat cage in the living room and one of the litter trays is in it. Blackberry and Willow are put in there to eat their food and also when we go to bed at night - if we don't put Willow in there, as soon as anyone opens the door, she runs upstairs and under my bed and won't come out for hours. Hubby is not best pleased with her. As I usually go downstairs in the night, I let her out then. When she wees in the litter tray she gets wee all over the board I have put in the back and then often on the surrounding newspaper and the cat blanket! When you said about the puppy pads I thought that was a good idea for me to try too.

Glad that it’s working for you too lotsofcats , it’s really difficult with cats 🐱not quite as easy to train as dogs, and it’s hard telling them no and not to do it again. Freddy might have been doing for a while , but I only noticed when we removed the lid from the litter box.

Well the other night Elsa heard a funny noise , like a screaming screaming noise , when we turned the volume down on the tv we heard it too , at the bottom of the garden but it was too dark to see anything. It’s very strange but Freddy has been making like a calling noise when we have been in bed at night🙈a noise that I have never heard before. He has been making this noise for a few nights now.
Hubby forgot to turn off the security light last night when he let Riley and Elsa out for a wee. And once again we heard the screeching noise 🙈so I had a look through the living room window and I could see a fox cub at the bottom of the garden eating the biscuits that I had put down for the cats, it was only very young and so beautiful.
Now I’m wondering 🤔is this why Freddy is making this calling noise 🤔and could this be why he has started scenting .
Hubby had a look on YouTube at foxes calling and yes it was the same noise as the fox 🦊 cub , maybe it was calling its mum 🦊

Aw, so cute. I hope little fox cub leaves some food for the cats. I wonder what Freddy thinks it is.

I ve read somewhere that a solution of bio washing powder and water will remove the smell of urine so that the cat ( or dog) will not return to the same spot to keep ' marking' it. May be worth a try if necessary?

Yes its well worth a try meandmine thanks 🙏 Freddy is a house cat 🐈 he has an old injury to his eye 👁️ probably caused when he was a kitten 🐱 he was dumped with his siblings in a cardboard box at a lay-by 🥲it was a dog walker that took them into the rescue thankfully 🙏 I have put puppy pads down at the side of his litter box , I’m trying not to make a big issue of it , he has always been a very clean cat but I know they can change when they get older (or should I say his senior years )😻
