I received a letter today letting me know, as a subscriber, that Your Cat has been purchased from BPG Media by Warner Group Publications. I hope that this doesn't cause any issues for the current staff, Your Pet I suspect it must be a time of turmoil, & hopefully opportunities, for you all. As both Your Cat & Your Dog websites now show copyright Warner Group Publications plc I presume Your Dog magazines has also transferred ownership. However I see that BPG Media www.bpgmedia.co.uk/ which also runs YourPet website & the Fieldsport magazine along with other business still has their own name on the relevant websites but no mention of the Dog & Cat magazines. This could just be the gradual change over but could also be a case of a spilt in the company. Definitely interesting times to come. |

I don't think it would go without notice scallywag even if the new owners decide not to continue with the forum it would be bad PR for the company to just get rid of it without warning, also they will need time to consider all their new assets. |

Had emails from both your cat and dog today asking my to confirm my details to continue receiving the news letters and comps. One confirmed I was redirected back to the Warner group home page. scallywag that was my first thought too.  |

cazypops, I had the Your Cat email after I created the thread - mind you I'm getting a number of similar emails as companies get ready for changes in Data Protection rules

I've had emails from a few companies asking me to update my details in preparation for the new GDPR coming in. I also had a letter confirming the change of ownership.
Hopefully it won't affect the forum.

Hi everyone, Yes, that is correct, Your Dog and Your Cat is now owned by Warners Group Publications, and we will soon be moving offices. This change hasn't really affected any of our staff here - and there should hopefully be good/exciting times ahead for the brands. I can confirm that the email you received about the Your Dog and Your Cat newsletters is 100% genuine and safe. Our newsletter subscriber database is made up of members who have subscribed across several different platforms, and therefore the details we have for each newsletter subscriber is not consistent. We are taking this opportunity to update everyone's profiles across the board. Your information will not be passed on to any third parties, and is purely for our Your Dog and Your Cat newsletter purposes. Also, this change should not affect the forum. Thanks  Laura |
