I’v been quite anxious over the last few days 🙈whilst trimming Elsa’s paws I found this small lump at the side of her pad. I didn’t post it on here any earlier due to not wanting any negative comments that may have made my anxiety levels worse and I’v not googled it either. I eventually plucked up courage and called the vet’s to be told that it was only emergency appointments only but I just wanted it checking out - the receptionist told me in a very abrupt manor that I wouldn’t know what it was unless they cut it off and sent it away - and stated it could be a wart/ cyst/benign tumour/ cancerous tumour this just made me panic even more. When I told hubby he went 😡 I asked if I could email some pictures in for them to look at and the male receptionist said yes that’s fine. Today I received a call from the vets stating that the vet had taken a look and she said it wasn’t anything to worry about at the moment but just to keep an eye on it and if it started to grown in size or change in any way then they would remove it . She said it looked very much like a papilloma. I feel so much better now and I am just going to keep my eye on it. I don’t know if anyone else has anything like this before.

I have to say Beau has all sorts of lumps and bumps now . most problematic is a wart on the side of his nose and he keeps making it bleed , I havent posted here either , havent wanted to cause any one concern , so don't feel bad that you never posted here chantel

What an unhelpful receptionist at your vets chantel! Kobi has a lump and his is in between the paw pads, next to his dew claw. I took him to the vets when it got about pea sized and the vet took a sample of it to be sent away. It was nothing nasty so is still there.

What a rude receptionist chantel! As far as I know, papilloma warts look a bit like cauliflower in appearance. Ellie had one on her gum a few years ago. I gave her the homeopathic remedy Thuja which seemed to get rid of it (but who knows for sure if it was that or if it just went on it's own). Could be worth a try for you?

How are you & Elsa doing chantel? I'm really surprised that your vets were still only doing emergencies, mind you I suppose it's depends what they mean by that, if they meant not doing the regular vaccinations etc then they should have seen you as how could the receptionist tell whether it was something that needed looking at urgently or not! I suppose she could have meant that all their appointments for the day were booked up due to not having so many as normal due to Covid restrictions but then she should have given you another day. Thank goodness the male receptionist was more helpful & that the vet got back to you with news that made you less anxious.

Beau has a big wart on side of his nose could that work on his wart Emma? He keeps making it bleed , vet told us to put sudacrem on it as we didn’t want to risk surgery
