Had to laugh where you said Elsa is the only dog who could tip over a non-tip dish! How did she cope with the hot weather? I took her a short walk this morning before I left for work lotsofcats before she got too warm , I heard her in the night doing a lot of shuffling around ☹️poor old Riley is so warm bless him , we have been walking him in a evening when it’s much cooler although Elsa is not helping him keep cool when she is tearing about after him . Although it does feel so much cooler tonight.

Well tomorrow will be the longest she will have been left . Hubby is going to take her a walk at around 6ish in the morning so she won’t be impressed has he is on a course tomorrow and we both will be leaving at around 7:15 am ☹️I should be home for 1ish so will have to leave her plenty of things to do .although I am going to see if I can finish at 12 has I am owed some time back
Normally when I am on early hubby goes into work for around 10 and then i’m normally Home around 1 . I suspect she will sleep quite a bit if she has had a longish walk . 😊

How did it go chantel ? I will say about her Kong though, if she gets bored with it, it must be too hard for her at the moment. Break it down a bit and just put dry kibble in with a scraping of peanut butter so that it falls out easier. That way she'll realise that it's full of good things and will persevere with it. Then start adding a bit more peanut butter (not loads) or some yoghurt to mix with the food. Then eventually you can progress to freezing it so it takes ages for her to empty - which will also be nice for her in the hotter weather. orpheous87 I think you are right maybe it is a bit difficult for her at the moment. She is the only dog I know that can actually tip over a none tip dish . I popped it down for her at tea time but because they don’t come out easily she gets frustrated then sits at the kitchen gate and barks . I think once she understands how to do it , it will definitely slow her down and keep her entertained . I popped some dry kiibble in it this morning but supervised her and showed her out to do it . She is still very young and learning and pheraps we are expecting her to do things that Riley could do 😊 I’m going to try putting some dry kibble in her kong today when I leave for work 😊😊 Bless her, lol. Yes, I think it's easy to fall into the trap of expecting younger dogs to just know how to do something because the older dog knows. We forget that we need to teach them some of these things. And if you've never taught a pup how to empty a Kong, I imagine it would get quite frustrating quite easily. I've never taught Pepper how to do it and she would do exactly the same as Elsa - leave it after a while. On the other hand, we never taught Ellie how to do it but she will persevere as she's so greedy. I took a semi frozen Kong to our last HTM class for Ellie for after we'd done our routine because she has a tendency to cry and disrupt everyone else when we're sitting still. The Kong worked wonders though and she happily stayed on her bed and worked at it. I'm sure Elsa will get there in time too How did the dry kibble work out?

She has done really well today bless her , I left some dry kibble with small chunks of sausage and peanut butter in her kong and it was empty when I got home 😊 it’s 5 years since I have had a puppy and it’s easy to forget and compare what Riley could do at that age 😊

Yay! Glad that seemed to work Definitely continue putting dry kibble in for a little while, then maybe mix it with some yoghurt or something. I can understand that. When we got Pepper we hadn't had a puppy for 16.5 years, so she was a big shock to our systems lol. And now we haven't had a puppy for over 8 years, so the next one will be a shock too no doubt.

you forget how small she still is until you see her next to your slipper. I know cazypops we forget sometimes she is still only 4 month old , 😊 She’s teething at the moment bless her . I panicked a little when I came home from work and noticed blood on her front and on her paws but I couldn’t see any cuts on her or on Riley but when she was sat quite with me I had a look at her mouth and noticed 2 teeth missing on the bottom and yesterday she had a really wobbly front tooth that she has lost now . Although I have not found any teeth so I presume she may have swallowed them . I have been giving her frozen pieces of carrots that she loves 😊x
