I had the idea that Tommie was bored. Misty is too old for that lively young cat.
I thought of a female cat of Tommie’s age.
No use to go to our shelters for they don’t give me a cat because of my age..
There are several institutions that save animals in countries where their condition is horrendous and they don’t have a problem with age as long as you can take care of them.
I looked in Greece, Spain and Russia and found a lovely female (2.5 years old) that had been
imported from Moscow and stayed with a foster family in Holland. I mailed them and after a conversation over the phone, a woman brought Tosha to me. No immediate success. Tommie and Tosha fight most of the day. At first it was Tommie who attacked her. Now she comes back and often takes the initiative. Every now and then there is peace and they play with the same toy.as long as it is big enough, so they keep a distance of at least 60 cm. The under-cover mouse or that blue snakelike cat-it thing. It needs time. They are not stressed (I am)
Today I have to decide if I keep her. I think it’s to short after a fortnight.. Another foster home? She must have a place where she can stay and I think that in spite of Tommie she likes it here. The first night she already slept on my pillow.
I think I keep her.
