PF,
Not trying to sound rude but, if he was so bad on raw(the odd poos, regurgitating food etc), why on earth did you keep him on it? If Oscar the things that Bernie did he would be off raw in a heartbeat.
Its nice to hear that he is back to normal again. Do you think you will ever go back to raw when he is older?

Ahh, I see what you mean. Oscar is my first dog too, but I wouldn't have dreamed of feeding him raw as a puppy. I just wouldn't have had the confidence, even now I wouldn't with another puppy.

Blimey PF - I missed this, not been on, what a frightener!!!!! Glad he's ok now and back to his usual Frenchie mischief I thought you were getting on well with raw but from what you've said here you weren't really were you Hope bernie does well on his new food and it has cured his tum upsets. Sounds like a good move for him, wish you all the best with it.

So glad he is ok and I hope the kibble goes well.
I was going to say that possibly the raw minces (Natural instinct) may have been option but maybe not if he is sickly on it.
You have confirmed my fears over bones, though I think I will still be going down the raw option (just with even more care!). Maybe the pre-prepared minces will be used a bit more than currently planned !!
My youngest is not really thriving on kibble and wet so hoping raw will be good for her!!

Caz - I know where you are coming from but it doesn't put me off at all as my dogs are not brachycephalic, plus dogs can choke on kibble or even toys anyway so nothing is totally risk free. Last summer a staffy pup across the road from me choked to death on a dog biscuit, poor thing To be honest I've never even left our two alone (either when we're out or overnight) with toys unsupervised. Thank god PF was able to act quickly, she did very well that's for sure.
