Anybody got any suggestions? Alfie is having the Soopa chews, Antos veggie chews and Tribal apple & mint biscuits, as well as dried apple/carrot/banana. He is used to getting lots of treats! Just wondering if anyone new of any more kind we could try?

Thanks caz2golden .... those Matties treats come up a lot on the FB group, shame they're not available here. Well I do not know any firm & fast rules for protein content, I'm just going for as low as possible. I am working on the basis that Hills k/d kibble is ok and that's 13% protein, so using that as my guide for a maximum. The Tribal apple & mint biscuits are very low @ 4.5% and the Soopa & Antos/Whimzees treats lower still at around 3%. Dried banana/apple/carrot all less than 1%. Fruit Cookies look great, he would love those. He is getting two Lily's Kitchen cheese & apple treats at bed which are 11% protein but I think I will swap those for something lower once our two unopened packs are finished. As for phosphorus content, Alfie's levels have gone right back to the middle of the ideal range, and lots of companies do not have info on phosphorous contents of treats. So whilst I will avoid things that are definitely high like offal, pure meat treats (out because of protein content anyway) and things with white potato (new bag of AG Sensitive crunchy bites went to the work dogs!), I am not being too strict. He is getting cucumber sticks, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and apple as treats too - loves all these!

Really happy to have found lots of options if anyone else ever finds themself in need of low protein treats Biscuit-wise... Tribal apple, mint & ginger Billy & Margot strawberry & apple Lily's Kitchen cheese & apple Healthy Paws fruit cookies (thanks caz2golden) And for chews he loves the Soopa 100% papaya chews and the Whimzees veggie rolls. He likes the regular Whimzees funny shaped chews too, but my nose doesn't after he's had one! Found a treat Mix called Tail Mix in Pets Corner which is dried crunchy sweet potato, blueberries and banana - he loves that. And been getting him dried apple & banana treats from the rabbit section on Zooplus Still giving him occasional high protein chews - cow ears, pig snouts, pizzle, fish jerky, tripe sticks etc - and he has a couple of his most favourite treats ever per week, the Natures Menu beef/chicken treats. But it's good to have the much lower protein options to give mainly (rightly or wrongly he's always had lots of treats throughout the day!). Soopa are bringing out a new range of low protein treats too, which they've already said are great for dogs with KD, so looking forward to trying those
