Never heard of it so can't help there, but if you'd rather keep using Drontal can't you get it elsewhere? It's probably the most popular so they sell it pretty much everywhere

RING RING.... RING RING .. " Good Afternoon this is Mercer and Hughes. " Oh Hi I was in 30 mins ago to buy Drontal but was told you moved over to Milbactor, I would like to return this tablet for a refund please. " Any reason why ? " Yes I don't like what I have read and Beau has a sensitive stomach so I would rather find Drontal else where Oh well we still have Drontal here it's just we are pushing Milbactor

That's a new one on me, though far from up to date on chemical wormers these days. I assume you now have the Drontal Here is what I have found on this new one www.dietvet.com/en/product/6630/ceva-milbactor-12-5-mg-125-mg-for-dogs-over-5-kg-1-tablet.html?page=all Looks like it covers:- - Cestodes:Dipylidium caninum tapewormTaenia spp. tapewormEchinococcus spp. tapewormMesocestoides spp. tapeworm- Nematodes:Ancylostoma caninum hookwormToxocara canis roundwormToxascaris leonina roundworm Trichuris vulpis whipwormCrenosoma vulpis lungworm Angiostrongylus vasorum * Lungworm to most of us but also called French heartwormThelazia callipaeda * eyeworm?? * when a different treatment schedule is required than you normal once every x number of months.

scallywag, that's not a good response from the vets - unless they can give you a reason why they consider it better. I don't know about the dog version but we get cat drontal tablets online, as they are don't need a prescription, rather than through the vets - cheaper!
