Hi everyone, Just thought I'd introduce myself - I'm usually just an observer on forums but I recently adopted/rescued 2 dogs - Rocky and Beau from DogsTrust. I had a panic on Sunday when Rocky's health took a dive after receiving a booster shot (Nobivac L4) from the Vet on Saturday. I found this forum yesterday whilst researching the side effect of this drug and found a thread about it so I decided to join so I can participate, share and ask questions. Rocket is a male mini yorkie and Beau (changed name) is a female crossbreed(yorkie and bichon frise). They came as a pair and even though I wanted just one dog, I couldn't resist taking them both. Since joining my husband and I one month ago, they've both been an absolute delight. So much joy, especially from Rocky who is just a fluffy bundle of joy. Beau is more sensitive and takes her time to warm up to new people and things, which is understandable coming from the life they lived before being rescued. So that's us. Hope to get to know you all too!

Hi chelsealady welcome to the forum. Your newly acquired fur family sound lovely. Yes there is a thread on here re N.L4 so look forward to your comments on there. I am mum to a Nutty Springer Called Beau, he joined us 8 years ago yesterday and was 13 months when we got him. If you need any help with the forum just shout someone will answer,

Hi chelsealady welcome . I am owner to a Norwegian elkhound crossbreed called samson (dog in avatar pic) and a ginger tabby cat called mario. Sorry your dog had a reaction to the l4 vaccine, I've heard stories like this in the past of dogs having bad reactions to it. My dogs just had the vaccine but no reaction luckily.

Welcome to the forum chelsealady, I have 7 cats and a mad, very naughty Patterdale Cross called Kobi. Your 2 dogs are very cute and I'm glad that you got talked into having the 2 of them from the Dogs Trust - I wouldn't have been able to just have 1 of them either. I hope that Rocky is okay now after the scare with the vaccine.
