Merry Christmas!

Didn't think I'd be doing this so soon, but tomorrow my grandparent's lovely whippet will be leaving the world. She's had some health problems for the past few years and is getting no better, so hard but best decision has been made.

She would've turned twelve on the 28th August. I remember my grandparents getting her and asking me to name her. I have a photo of her and Poppy on my noticeboard from minutes after they first met, and a photo in an album of the time I first met her.

She was a typical, lazy whippet who loved to run and was very loving. Everyone's really sad to see her go. I'm meant to be going to my grandparent's house next week, it's going to be sad never seeing her again as I don't remember her not being around.

Poppy's going to miss her aswell, I have numerous photos of them lying asleep side by side.

RIP Lucy
