Hi I noticed that Crystal was drooling a while back. Little beads of saliva were dropping from her mouth. Crystal had a check up not too long ago and no problems were found with her mouth. I notice a couple of moments while she was on my lap that the amount of droplets has increased, as soon as one drops another appears on her lip in a matter of seconds. If anyone knows why this is happening please share, thankyou. Razz. My old Username used to be Crystal2389 on the Your cat forum For people who recognize the cats but not Can opener!

Were you fussing her at the time of the drooling? Both my cats do this when they are having a lovely big fuss from me. They are in pure heaven getting their head scratched.

Hi Razz, I remember your username on the old forum, definitely a different picture for your avatar this time as well as username Nice to see you made it over here. Does Crystal drool all the time? One of our cats, Roman, drools when being fussed & it is just as you describe, as soon as the droplet falls another appears. He doesn't drool at other times. Edited: Snap Gladys, got interrupted posting this so missed your answer.

Thanks, it's good to see your on here =D! Crystal drools when she's asleep and when she's in a family member's company, so we don't have to be fussing her for her to drool it just happens when we're around.

Well I just googled it and there seems to be quite a few answers and it seems quite common. The list was to long for my tired brain to remember but just type in cats drooling and you get lots of answers. Taken from this site - why-does-my-cat-drool"Cats produce copious amounts of saliva for a variety of reasons, including oral pain, difficulty swallowing and even as a response to nausea. Excessive drooling can also occur when cats ingest foul-tasting or toxic food, poison or medication. But what about otherwise healthy felines who salivate when they’re simply happy?". And then it goes on. This site - drooling-in-cats says: " Healthy cats do not drool. " But then says: " A few cats will also drool when they are purring and very relaxed. " I'm pretty sure even though it can happen when you are not touching your cat she is just relaxed and happy in your company?!?
But keep an eye on whether she has trouble eatin gand if your worried go back to the vets. tonib Snap!!
