JD was the first reptile to join our family back in 2004, she's the one that ignited my passion for reptiles. She was adored by all of us and was more often than not sleeping, coiled up down someones sleeve. She was an extremely friendly individual, I always called her 'the adventurer' because she'd always try and find ways to escape and explore (not one of her best ideas with having cats around). She fundamentally changed me, made me passionate about a subject I didn't now I was interested in, influenced my choice to go university so she was never just a 'pet snake', she was a guiding force in my life.
