Hello all. Seeking advice, if possible. One of my dogs is very uncomfortable with the monthly spot-on treatment, to such an extent that I am likely to get bitten if I attempt this. I have sourced alternative treatments for fleas in tablet form, but wanted to do the same for lungworm. Is there such a treatment, and if so, what's it called? Many thanks

Many thanks Hi I am answering you and tagging gypsy too as I can't advise and you really need to post on the DOG forum, this area is for Computer / Forum help 99% of the time and could possibly get over looked. Welcome to the forum

Hope Gypsy comes along soon as she is the best to advise. I would talk to your vet saying spot on is not an option and see what they recommend. Advocate is the usual one recommended as its licensed to prevent lungworm but obviously not option in your case as it is a spot on. TBH I will not use spot on's with my dogs. I believe that Milbemax has now been licensed as a preventative if used monthly (note usual worming regime is every 3 months). There are other wormers that can be used to treat cases of lungworm like Panacur. As scallywag has put may be best if you post in the Dog section of the forum.
